We went to meet our friends and we all felt the beer and food were amazing.
Listed down are our points - The pub is located near Konechneho Namesti. Easily connected via trams and busses. Entrance was nice. The first floor seam little compact but do have enough seating. The compact space makes the space crowded and loud, only if all the spaces are occupied. The servicemen were polite speaks good English and are patient. We tried the Immigrant and Guinness- beers. Immigrant was cheap and nice but Guinness was wonderful though expensive. We tried Cheddar Burger and Chicken burger and they were Amazing and we loved it. Burgers were bigger and filing, few of us felt could not be finished complete. The fries were loaded and perfect. Sauce( I assume it was tomato) could have been better, so suggest to try so.ething new sauce there.
Overall, wonderful food, chilling beer and good service-people. Would prefer to visit...
Read moreA beautiful evening ruined. I can't remember if I rated a place with a single star, but sadly, this is the case. Not because of the food, drinks or atmosphere. Not because of the location. The issue is that the staff is lying to the customers. I went to enjoy a pint of Guinness on a busy Friday evening with my friend, knowing we would only stay for a bit. We really enjoyed the lively crowd and had fun until we wanted to settle the bill. When we arrived we saw that the card payments were accepted (no sign stating otherwise), but we were told 'cash only' upon requesting the bill. As we did not expect to pay cash, I said we need to go and withdraw money from the ATM. Suddenly, a miracle happened and the waitress was able to take the card instead. I don't care about any issue as a customer if I am being treated with honesty, but this is unacceptable to me. No apology offered, no explanation provided....
Read moreFriendly staff speak nearly perfect English—and one of them actually speaks it perfectly, sounding like a UK native despite being born and raised in Brno. Actually, friendly isn't enough of a description: they're also intellectuals and great conversationists with good humor. The patrons are also generally friendly. The Czech beer served here is very good; Guiness and some English options are available, but I haven't tried them. The interior is quite comfortable, including a piano (although I haven't heard anyone play it), and the outdoor seating has some protection from the busy street. I think the bar staff pick the music, as it's always in excellent taste. Overall a welcoming environment for foreigners like myself lacking the wherewithal to learn the...
