PRO: The place is very small but cozy, the food is impeccable, the buns are amazing, and the toppings are all great (especially the hummus). There are not many vegan places in Aarhus so it's pretty amazing to have this one available. I love them for having vegan cakes, milkshakes, croissant and ice-cream, which are things I don't easily find vegan in the city.. Only CONS: very expensive!! way too much honestly. For 2 buns with cheese I spent 80kr :') I would go everyday if it was a bit more affordable

Great place with very friendly staff, ready to explain everything that's on the - fully vegan - menu. They offer various coffee specialties and ice cream, but mostly: try the Danish pastries. We were amazed at how much the vegan pastries resemble the 'regular' varieties (possibly even better). Not a single hint of margarine or other "artificial" butter substitute - you couldn't tell the difference from the real deal. Do note: outside seating only.

27.02.25 Upon entering the cafe, we were greeted by a nice lady, we came for breakfast, my daughter ordered something I don't remember the name of, it's similar to a panini but not that... vegan croissants, surprised with the taste and freshness. The environment is interesting, very clean, the toilet was very impressed with the interior and cleanliness. I will recommend this cafe to my friends.

My work asked me to get a vegan cake from here the day before. So I show up and ask if it is possible to get a cake for 8-9 people. All they had was some flødeboller and Homemade Twix bars and cookies. But that wasn't exactly cake in my opinion. She said normally people make a request for a cake two days before. So I had to make due with what they had and asked if they had more of each so she went to check.

She came back and told me they were actually making a cake that I could have. So that solved my problem! So I got a real cake (a layered vanilla cake with solbær and chocolate nibs) 300 kr for 12 person size cake. Interestingly the whipped cream/frosting is made of lentil protein. And all I had to do was wait 10-15 minutes for them to make the cake.

I think everyone was happy with the taste and I was happy with the customer service. Probably the best customer service I have...

Som veganer er ovenud lykkelig når små veganske caféer åbner. Jeg synes det er så fedt at der efterhånden altid er et alternativ med plantebaseret kost.

Lige så lykkelig jeg er, lige så trist bliver jeg når de mennesker som driver disse caféer gør det uden venlighed og service.

Jeg har nu to gange været udsat for en ubehagelig oplevelse hos café Harepus.

Første gang blev min familie belært om at Harepus jo ikke er en bager, da de forsøgte ar købe 4 croissanter og 4 boller til at tage med hjem. De fik fortalt at caféen var drevet af man købte kaffe og ikke kun bagværk, hvorfor min familie følte sig presset og efterfølgende købt en kaffe for caféens skyld.

Senest idag, blev vi jaget væk fra døren, da vi ifølge den ansatte/ansvarlig kunne signalere manglende plads i caféen, til andre kunder. Kunder som i bund og grund var os. Derudover var der ikke andre på gaden end os.

Min mor, min søster og jeg ventede på at komme ind i forretningen ved siden af, som åbnede kl 10.00. Klokken var på det tidspunkt 09.58. Min mor havde voldsomme øresmerter og naturligt var vi gået i ly for vinden, i smøgen, nær Café harepus’ses dør.

Jeg er inderligt ked af vi endnu engang mødte dårlig tone fra café Harepus.

Den frokost vi havde planlagt hos Harepus, blev selvfølgelig afholdt et andet sted. Og desværre var det, definitiv sidste gange, Harepus fik vores penge.
