Billund bakery and café — Restaurant in Billund Municipality

Pros: Plenty of choice, both sweet and savory. Decent quality (but not outstanding).

Cons: Tables (inside) very dirty. There is a small sign with a request to return your plates and clear your table when finished. But the sign is hardly visible in one corner of the café. And it’s not clear where to put your used plates and/or cups. We were inside for over half an hour. In that time no cleaning at all was done on (any of) the tables. The area/cart, where we in the end, returned our plates was quite dirty, almost disgusting. Same goes for the (single) restroom. Very dirty and disgusting. Floor around the toilet very wet …. probably you know what. Toilet seat very very dirty (underside and around hinges all yellow). No paper to dry your hands (container empty). Clearly no care was given in cleaning the restroom. We had two filter coffees (press down system). One was pretty good. The other one had almost half the amount of grounded coffee in it as the other one, so it had the appearance of tea...

We practically lived off this bakery during our stay in Billund! They had delicious sandwiches, though a wider cheese selection would have been nice. Many customers, like ourselves, craved paninis or toasts, which were unfortunately absent. However, their pastries were a highlight! We loved the sommersnegle (Danish cinnamon rolls) and chocolate croissants. Sadly, we arrived too late to try their daily special.

On our way home, we stocked up on goodies – Danish rye bread, chocolate bread, cheese, and some fantastic local honey. Everything was top-notch!

The service here was consistently speedy. We were surprised by some reviews mentioning rude staff; our experience was completely different. Parking is convenient – they have their own lot with free parking for the first hour. Alternatively, you can park at Lego House's garage, which offers free parking for the first two hours.

We hope to be back soon to indulge in those...

Great and tasty sandwiches. Really great combination of ingredients, from while bread to dark bread and roast beef to crispy chicken. The place is also lovely and we'll decorated with nice variety of beverages, sweets and savory. Staff is also super kind and helpful. I truly recommend this place. Check it out.

It was one of the best best sandwiches I had in Denmark (I couldn't wait to take a photo so I took a photo with a few bites already).

The portions are also good and the prices are decent. Great place for lunch, coffee or to buy bread and sweets after or in-between your Lego...
