Had high hopes for this place but it severely let us down! Location is good right next to Lego house, but thatâs where it all stops.
Upon arrival we were met with an unwelcoming and poker faced lady at the door. We had booked a table on the first floor not knowing the place, and we asked if we can be accommodated on the ground floor, but she said a plain and short NO. We were then taken to this massive dark room on the 2nd floor where only one other family was sat. This room had no ambience and felt like we were being punished for being their customers!
Then came the food which was greasy and literally dripping with oil. We had to send onions rings back as they were inedible. Burger whilst looked good, was so greasy that the bread base had become soggy and inedible. They even forgot one of the two pizzas we ordered for kids, so one of our little boys had to wait!
Having said that our server Sasha (only reason Iâm giving 2 stars) was excellent and kept apologising for everything. Sheâs an asset to the pub coz everything else was shocking, including the curt âheadmistressâ who sat us down!
For the money we paid, we expected better! Oh well, onwards...

Unfortunately, the experience was somewhat overshadowed by the service. It felt rather disorganised throughout our visit; we often found ourselves having to ask for basic items, which made the meal feel stretched out and slow. While the staff members were genuinely friendly and attentive, there seemed to be a lack of leadership or coordination to ensure that service flowed more smoothly.
On a positive note, parking was convenient, with space available right outside the establishment, and I was pleased to see that the facilities were clean and well-maintained. Overall, there's potential here, but improvements in organisation and service would enhance the dining experience...
Read moreA gift of an experience on this first ever trip to Billund- the birthplace and home of the LEGO Brick. Billund Gastropub embodies the Danish spirit of Hygge - not unlike Kokomo, itâs a place to be and a state of well being. Great selection of beers. My choice was the rich and delicious Jacobsen Brown Ale which paired perfectly with the Hakkebøf Med blød løg and roasted potatoes with herbs. Situated just a âbrickâsâ throw from LEGO House. If you come to Billund, do stop in to imbibe the libations served up by double barreled shaker Andreas the Bartender. The food and hospitality are equally amazing. The owner, Thomas, treats you special. Maria and Natasha are always ready with genuine disarming smiles that will sure to charm you back for repeat visits. Recommend the nightcap Galliano Hotshot and/or an Akvavit. Billund...
