This place is completely magic and created with love and care by both founders, gardeners and volunteers. I’ve been both eating their food (which is always delicious). And been pulling their weeds through volunteering. I can’t recommend it more to other people honestly. And if you feel like helping out as well - sign up for volunteer-day on Tuesday’s it’s a sweet community of likeminded people. Get your hands in the soil and harvest delicious organic veggies. It’s build on a permaculture foundation so there’s plenty of flowers for bees, weeds for chickens, mushroom manoeuvre for the new veggies and it’s all done a very circular way - minding the environment. All people working there are amazing people so please visit wether it’s in the restaurant for food or for working in the field as a volunteer.

It was an absolute highlight from my trip to Copenhagen. I love the setup, aesthetics, and ethos of this place. Farm to table organic food. When we went, there was a set menu with an option to add on the desert. My eating partner was vegan and there were delicious replacements for her to swap mackerel and dairy. Everything was delicious and fresh. I absolutely loved the beetroot gazpacho with pickled gooseberries. And split pea houmous. Attentive and cheerful service by a lovely woman from UK, didn't catch her name. Highly recommended! Take time to wander around the gardens and say hello to the chickens. I also had a sit down on a different night just to have a glass of wine and read a book. A perfect location for it 🌻

Øens Have is the ideal choice for those seeking a vibrant yet grounded farm‑to‑table meal in Copenhagen. It blends sustainability, seasonal produce, and open-fire cooking in a laid-back, rustic elegance. The hummus is unforgettable, and the seafood offerings especially grilled or smoked mackerel are integral to the experience. A curated selection of natural wines rounds out each dish with thoughtful nuance. From the gardening ethos to the final sip of wine, every detail is curated to celebrate local produce, regenerative farming, and communal dining. Whether it’s a special dinner or simply a memorable culinary afternoon, Øens Have delivers an unforgettable, green‑rooted food journey.

We had read that it was a 5 course menu - BE WARNED that when they say 5 courses, they count the starter (salad), second platter (2pcs asparagus) and the main as 3 COURSES (mackerel, potatoes and green leaves). I’ve never heard of a restaurant that counts a plate of potatoes as a full course, let alone a sharing salad. We felt deceived and high-key scammed especially since we are paying 500kr per person for a 5 course meal, EXPECTING 5 courses, not 3. Secondly, the menu stated “whole grilled mackerel” but we were surprised when they served ONLY 2 small whole mackerels to share between 4 PEOPLE. Food was good but honestly we felt we got scammed. You can get better value for money...
