Halifax Burgers Amager — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Dear Manager,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by a staff member during my visit to Wokshop Restaurant in Copenhagen on 25th March. My experience was far from the standard I expect from a dining establishment and was particularly disheartening.

Upon arrival, we selected a table that had not been fully cleared. When directed to another table, we expressed a preference to wait for our original choice. The waiter did not object, so we waited nearby. After about ten minutes, the table was partially cleared, but the chairs and floor remained dirty. We cleaned the chairs ourselves and sat down, but were not approached for our order.

When we politely asked the waiter if he could clean the remaining food remnants and spills on the floor, he responded very rudely, shouting that we should either leave or stay seated and emphasizing that he had initially directed us to a different table. He refused to clean the area, gave us a harsh look, and walked away. This response was not only shockingly disrespectful but also left us feeling unwelcome and embarrassed, especially as this occurred in front of other patrons, including an elderly lady who also noted the waiter’s impoliteness.

I believe that no customer should have to endure such treatment. The level of service was unacceptable, and I feel it is my responsibility to inform you, not only for our sake but also for the benefit of future customers and the reputation of your restaurant.

I hope this issue will be addressed promptly, ensuring no other customers experience similar treatment. I look forward to your response and a resolution to this matter.

Nice to sit out in the courtyard. Took a while to order but the food came quite quickly once we had. We had a few allergies to navigate and they did well helping us with those. Everyone was friendly.

The kids menu was really limited so my son who prefers veggie food had to order an adult meal so it was expensive! My other son really liked being able to choose his burger toppings. It’s a shame they couldn’t do a veggie patty for the kids meal as an option.

We found quite a few of our burgers were so covered in sauce and chutney that they were impossible to pick up and eat without falling apart. Chips were good! Nice beers and the kids liked the different...

This Halifax is really close.to us so we go here quite often. The staff are really nice and polite, and the food comes out very quickly. You will be waiting a bit longer for your food when it's busy but still, it comes out quickly, the food is still hot and absolutely delicious. I really love that you can customise your burger, changing the meat and the bun to suit you without any extra fees (unless you want a double size patty then you pay a bit more).
