SnS are normally great, but this restaurant was the exception - the food was only barely OK, and the service was actually really bad; details below. It seems this particular restaurant are inefficient and/or inexperienced, because nothing really worked well, and the food was not up to par - the best part of the meal was honestly the ginger lemonade, and that's not a good review when sushi is normally do wonderfully delicious. I recommend you go to the SnS at Tivoli Hotel instead - they are quite stellar and have a great view.

Details: There was a ten-minute wait just to get seated (we had a table booking and the restaurant wasn't even very busy); the waiters couldn't answer questions about the menu or the food ("what is tiger milk", "what kind of vegetable is that green thing"); both drinks and food took a long time to arrive; the scallops for starters were completely overwhelmed by the other flavors they were served with and entirely lost their own taste; the seared salmon was served ice cold (presumably waited on the counter for a long time); they didn't have one of the items we had ordered - which is OK, but they didn't tell us when we ordered, and not even when they brought the food, so we had to count the pieces and ask them specifically; when we were paying they couldn't figure out which table we were at, then couldn't split the bill, and then they had punched in the wrong items; and finally their card machine was acting up for both the couple before us and for us so it took well over ten minutes just to pay. The couple behind us were less than thrilled.

SnS tend to be good, but this was a train wreck. Not coming back to this particular...

I read about Sticks & Sushi in an airline's magazine months ago and was excited to finally be able to visit when I saw you had a restaurant around the corner from my hotel. Unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy my experience there on 15 July, 2019 around 21:00. I was outside the door with an older couple who were curious about the menu. A waitress came by and personally invited the couple inside to see a menu, saying nothing to me. I decided to enter the restaurant anyway, and I see that the couple is looking at a menu and being helped. I stood there for a moment trying to determine if I could seat myself, and instead of being helped, I was told by the same waitress that I should leave and enter through the main door. The couple and I used the same door! The disparity in how I was treated compared to the couple was quite jarring and I apologized and left. It was obvious I wasn't welcome in your establishment. It's awkward enough to dine in a restaurant alone when traveling, and your staff made sure that I will never set foot in your restaurant again. It's a shame too, because I was looking forward to trying it for months and you had far more empty tables than full ones. I was able to get service at another local establishment who did not make me feel unwelcome. I cannot recommend an establishment who would treat prospective guests so differently. It was a very disappointing experience, especially in Copenhagen where I've always been...

I've been eating in this location quite a few times in the past 3 years, and the quality has gone downhill steadily (as in most sticks and sushi places since I started eating there in 2019). But this last experience (on 5.8.) was an incredible low point and convinced me to never ever go back.

We ordered the Maki Maki and some Sashimi. Sashimi was simply bad. But even worse I found the Maki rolls - 4 kinds; two of them with 'crispy ebi' tempura shrimp where the tempura was far from crispy (maybe it was once the day before?) and tasted like old fat. Ew. Worst part I was so hungry I needed to finish it :'( The salmon maki was filled with fluffy green stuff (spring onion?) that made the thing taste more like salad than maki. The rice was uninteresting, the soy sauce was just cheap and the price for all this was simply a bad joke. Plus, a tiny glass of white wine (SO tiny!) for almost 20€....

I understand it's tough times for everyone but this chain is feeding of it's formerly reasonable reputation WAY too hard. They were understaffed, too (so could only host half the restaurant meaning ppl had to squeeze in crowded area or sit outside at the street) and this was the third time I was disappointed. I think they mostly live of tourists from the beach by now...Save your money. So much better Sushi to get in so many...

Didn't eat here, but if I can - I will! Was making a sushi-dinner, and while the rice cooled off I headed out to gather the last of the ingredients. Apparantly nori sheets isn't something that's normal to carry in grocery stores around here, at least not the four that I tried.. In a desperate attempt to save the dinner, I turned to Sticks'n'Sushi, card in hand ready to cash out whatever I had to in order to get my hands on some nori sheets! They straight up gave it to me, a lot too! Even foiled them up! Thanks a lot guys, wish you many more customers in the future! :D

The experience I had at this restaurant is something worth being repeated. The sushi was very flavoursome, with pieces being very luscious, and all in all in all very saporous in taste. Although the service had it's ups and downs, with an order being forgotten, it's great to be able to sit outside, with a view of the North Sea bordering Sweden. TIP: If you don't speak Danish and would like an English menu, you can ask the waiters, as they will be able to provide you with a QR-Code which redirects you to an English menu online.
