Big Mamma Gastronomia — Restaurant in Hillerød Municipality

We were there on earlier Sep, 2018 when visiting Frederiksborg. Sorrty that didn't post this review on time. After I came back, I still couldn't forget the flavor of this meal.

The restaurant's name is GIG MAMMA instead of Italian Corner thus we almost missed that until this lovely owner found us wandering around. He was kind and efficient. He recommended us these 2 dishes which came out to be amazingly delicious. I should say this was the best meal we had among the 20 days tour in Northern Europe including comparing to those much much more expensiver ones. The price was like fast food price but the quality was like fancy stared restaurant. And also, foods came out quickly, if I didn't remember wrong, he took only less than 20 minuntes to finish whole cooking. Last but not least, beer was also cheap and great. It's shame that we didn't stay there long enough to get a second meal. But I've strongly recommended friends living not far from there to try this. And hope global tourists get to try this when passing by. Or I should say it worth driving 10 miles...

Note: this is now called Big Mama's. What a gem! We made a day trip to Frederiksborg Castle, and after a long day of walking around, we were really hungry and had only the train for transport. We read reviews of restaurants nearby, and we are so happy we chose this place. The food was delicious - made with fresh, quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. The portions were very satisfying and the prices are a good value. It is cash only, and everything is written in Danish; however, the staff were so sweet and helpful that it wasn't a problem at all (and there's an ATM right across the street). Wow! Chef Ugur was put on this planet to make pizza, and I count myself very lucky to have found this place. The staff is so friendly, the vibes are relaxing, but beyond it all is the quality of the pizza. Fresh ingredients on a perfectly cooked dough combine to deliver a flavor that I never want to forget.
