Asian Restaurant — Restaurant in Kolding Municipality

This place deserves a high rating considering the price and the wide selection of buffet. The price itself might be quite expensive for some people, but it was really low if you compare it to a similar restaurant in Norway. The food selection was quite various. You’ll find a section for mongolian BBQ and quite various dishes for chinese food, and also a sushi section close to the corner of the room. The interior was partially chinese style. There was even an ice cream section although the selection was quite few. The only downside of everything here was the service and the drinks. It wasn’t great. However, everything tastes good (quite acceptable for my asian taste bud), and eventhough it isn’t fancy, this restaurant gives you a taste quality which exceeds your expectation when you look at the price and the building exterior, especially if you come from northern Scandinavian countries (or Norway to be exact). Honestly this is probably my first negative review for a restaurant but I cannot ignore writing this. First of all the waitress serving us improperly communicated that our drink price is included in the buffet and therefore we ended up paying way more than we had anticipated initially. Secondly after realizing the price of these drinks which are insane but seem to be the norm for restaurants here, we decided to just have a tap water as a second drink. They charged us for tap water. That's right tap water. Water from a tap that you could get while putting you face under a sink in a bathroom. That is borderline insanity. This whole thing compounded in a very annoying end of an evening with a buffet that I did not expect much from and delivered to my expectations. So yeah many simple things that can be improved from the staff and operations to improve customer experience...

The buffet seemed nasty, food soaked with oil, I tried sushi and I was scared I will get salmonella, their soy sauce tastes like an old mans sweat smells. I could get a way tastier and cheaper buffet at the Grøn Køkken. I’m sitting here and I can’t believe that I have to pay for this. Do not even think about going here, please, you’re wasting your money. I tried to talk to the boss about it, but she refused to take any responsibility for the horrible food, blamed the soy sauce on the provider and she has generally been rude and we had to pay the full price, even though we barely touched our food before we realised that something about it is wrong and started fearing...
