Salig Simons Gaard — Restaurant in Svendborg Municipality

An unexpected find in Svendborg, where my family was passing by for one night. The two founders had worked at various well-known institutions in Denmark and it shows in their attention to detail & happy use of ingredients. We had turbot with cream sauce & small potatoes, homemade stracciatella with fruit, “Svendborg ham” with spring onion sauce & fruits & a half bottle of Sancerre. The best place for a gourmet lunch in Svendborg. Cozy atmosphere, great service and good food. The wines are well selected and pairs well with the food. There is great value for money here, but this is not the cheapest place in town. The price for a lunch for two with wine will be around 750 - 850. Kr. But it is well worth it!
