I visited this restaurant on Friday, 10 December 2021 with a group as we were all staying at the resort. With several of the items being unavailable at our 7pm reservation time, I ordered the New York Strip, medium with a mixed green salad to start with and a side of mashed potatoes.
The starters took quite a bit of time to come out. I would say nearly an hour. After forgetting my salad, and it arriving after everyone had completed their starters, I found the dressing to be overpowering for the delicate greens that were used for the salad. I couldn't taste the vegetables that were on my plate.
Refills on water were necessary due to the saltiness of the starters, as everyone on the table was feeling parched mouths from the overwhelming seasoning. However, you needed to request water, if you could manage to get a server's attention. I found that to be surprising since the restaurant seemed to be buzzing with servers.
It had past 8:30pm, 1.5+ hours after our 7pm reservation and I asked the server how much longer our food would be. Within minutes, he arrived with our food. With my steak knife, I began to saw into it. The toughness was unimaginable. I took a bite and found it to be lacking any moisture and grainy in texture. The flavor, like the other dishes, was overpowering in salt. I went in for a second, thinking the first was a fluke, this time I looked at the color of my medium steak. The color was a pale grey, reminiscent of poorly mixed cement.
Hoping my dish was a fluke, my friend's wife was unable to muster the strength to even cut the steak with her knife. A nearby table had two women who looked like they were cows chewing the cud.
It could be that the steaks were left under a warmer for far too long, but the seasoning was off. It's not simply an expediting issue, there is a pattern of issues as evidenced by those at my table, the people near us, and another table leaving before their food even arrived. A gentleman, whom I assume was a manager because he failed to introduce himself, asked what the problem was. Once I explained, he offered to take the food back to the kitchen. We were past 9pm at that point, and we were quite hungry and planned to have drinks after dinner. Enough time was wasted at this restaurant.
It's my hope that the restaurant sees this review and decides to make improvements, but until then, I feel compelled to leave a description of my experience so that future resort patrons not ruin their vacations and stay at...

What a fluke, they started speaking Spanish so we wouldnt know what they were discussing even though the waiter told us everything up from the lobster was free. We had an all-inclusive package so we didn't otherwise because he reiterated it to 20 of us in the group. They charged one of our rooms over $1300 because they couldn't come to an agreement because the waiter gave the wrong info even though he stated he told us that. Big misunderstanding I think not. They could've met us half way because the steak wasn't worth $49, mashed potatoes were burnt and cold, caesar salad was wet and tasted like mayonnaise. Never ever will I eat there again. Save your time and money....
