Filigrana gave a really strong start with friendly hostesses and servers. The complimentary selection of five breads baked in house made a real positive impression. I especially enjoyed the whole grain "pan integral." I enjoyed the salad with tuna, although the lettuce served more as garnish. Filigrana provided two complimentary light appetizers that I really enjoyed, I think they were chef creations. My friend's steak tasted fabulous. My seafood rice dish didn't. The shrimp tasted mealy and the rice was meh. The fried chocolate balls and streudel both tasted yummy. So in addition to the mealy shrimp, the other problem was that the receipt didn't match the menu price for one of the items. When I brought this to the attention of the waiter, he told me it was because they hadn't updated the menus. He said I still needed to pay the higher price. I told him it would be more appropriate if the restaurant charged what the menu said the price would be when I ordered it. He left, and the manager said we could pay the price from the menu. Needing to argue in order to pay the menu price left a bad...

We had dinner here which unfortunately did not deliver to the standard it marketed itself for. When we asked for a medium-rare steak it turned out blue. This wasn’t unique to us unfortunately, our table next door had the same issue with their steak. I rarely ask to send the food back, but in this case I could not chew the steak at all. Luckily after it was remade it became edible. Steak aside, the seafood here is also average when it comes to quality.

On the bright side, this restaurant is very good at its grilled vegetables and mushrooms. It was juicy and flavorful.

The service here however was very slow. I’m not sure if they are short staffed, but we waited around for a long time for everything.

Overall, given the price and marketed standard of the restaurant, it really did not live up to our expectations. We hope that the next time we come the food...

The food at Filigrana is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place and Chef Jose was super friendly and took care to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place. Restaurant Ambient is romantic friendly, well set up and welcoming for any events or celebrations. Thank you for the amazing service and the wonderful food. After visiting other fancy places in SD with no service at all, this place make the differences, and has been the best...
