Bocatto Da Fiorentino Mall el Jardín — Restaurant in Iñaquito

My wife, Lynn, and I are not “mall types” but were here at El Jardin to do our grocery shopping. We decided to have lunch while here so went to the 3rd floor and found Bocatto Da Fiorentino. We are so glad we did. When we entered, we were greeted warmly by brothers Carlos and Felipe who showed us to a nice table by the window overlooking Carolina park. Our server Michelle was perfect. She was friendly and very professional. She was very patient with our “restaurant Spanish “ and aided us in ordering. The food is delicious and the service is 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Needless to say, whenever we are grocery shopping we plan to lunch at Bocatto. This is not a typical mall restaurant and we have noticed that for many locals this is a destination restaurant because of the fabulous food and service. It was on Trip Advisor for top gluten free recommendations. That was our first mistake. Trip Advisor is notoriously deceiving for gluten free recommendations in my experience traveling. The pizza and the service was good but I have some complains, the glass was dirty even tho we're in a covid situation going on. Also the menu prices do not included the IVA (VAT) neither the service this is so wrong. Then a small bottle of soda costs more than 3 times than retail value.
