DELIVERY OR TAKE AWAY BETTER THAN IN PERSON. This place has become a town's icon because of the years they've been offering their food. The food is good, I wouldn't say it's fantastic... but it's consistent through time. Here's the thing: I feel that there is no training whatsoever so the staff is always serious and even angry and tired of working there. On the other hand, I think the owners have taken the easy way knowing that they have fixed costumers that will keep going no matter what. As a consequence there's no upgrades, the chairs and tables are old and it shows. Also the cleanliness is not the best. This last time I saw crumbles and hairs on the floor and booths. I also asked for the house hot sauce and it came in a used pot that seemed to have had the same sauce before, but older (disgusting). Finally, there were 2 staff members that came to the area I was eating to mop the floor with a substance which smell was immensely intoxicating. This made me not want to eat anymore because everything started tasting weird because of the strong smell. Llevo más de 20 años viviendo en Quito y es la primera vez que puedo decir sin lugar a la menor duda que he experimentado lo que es comer un verdadero "pan de yuca" (pan de almidón para los conocedores) crocante, crujiente y con el queso explotado. Ya he ido a desayunar dos veces y definitivamente volveré de nuevo, es espectacular también el ceviche estilos jipijapa, lo hacen muy muy bueno, incluso tomando en consideración que no le ponen sal ni limón para que uno le ponga a su gusto la primera vez que lo probé no me sentí el gusto pero con un poquito de sal y limón quedó perfecto. Los bolones también están muy buenos y en la torta de choclo es bastante decente Único tema que no me convence es que tienen un ítem en el menú llamado la "ensalada de frutas" bajo la sección bebidas... y pues como manaba, cuando uno pide ensalada de frutas y la veo en la sección bebidas, no espero algo que tenga de comer sino algo que beber, es decir lo que en la sierra se llaman "come y bebe", se que estoy en Quito, pero me emocioné de verlo en el menú, y cuando llegó, no era lo que esperaba. de todas formas el resto estuvo...

A random pick that turned out to be one of the best breakfasts I had in Ecuador. I went for the Desayuno Costeño and it was amazing – so full of flavor. Prices are very reasonable too; for under $10 you get a breakfast you’ll remember for a long time. Definitely looking forward to coming back next time...
