EL-MUMTAZA RESTURANT — Restaurant in Alexandria

This place is one of my favorite places in Alexandria to eat. I'm eating here since 2009 !!! Yees more than 14 years can you imagine? 14 years and this place succeed to stay the same, same quality, same service, same atmosphere, same taste and same vibes. The only thing that changes is prices of course 😆.

What i love about this place that it is run by a simple Indonesian family which gives the place the homey and cozy vibes which i personally prefer. So it feels so comfortable inside once you get inside. I understand that your first visits may be confusing that you don't know how it goes or what is going on but i found out that it is more simple than i thought.

I have tried mostly all the menu but now i have my favorite plate that i usually order now which is fried indomie. But the menu is very interesting and very different from the Egyptian food. So if you love to try new food then go a head and take the chance to get the different tastes from different plates. I can't say that a plate taste bad but it is like an experience to try something new. If you are trying that place for the first time i can recommend you to try Nusantara or indomie Mamak, phataya or fried. If you prefer something with soup then try Nusantara or indomie tomyam or cary. Those are for pasta options. If you prefer rice then i recommend Mutyara or phaprik (fafrik). For a drink you can try pop ice sersik

The most important is that you should go there for the experience and don't put any expectations then...

One of my most favorite places to eat in Alexandria. If it is you first time to go there, you'll be surprised because the place doesn't look fancy at all so you might expect the food will be bad but once you try it, you will totally change your mind. The food is really delicious and clean and you'll feel like eating at home. The prices are very cheap and also plate sizes are big! Service is very good. The owners are very kind, polite and always smiling to you. Since I first tried it, I go there at least once every week and I can't stop...

Nice place for trying good Asian specially Indonesian food . full of spices , if you like it you will be addicted to that place , I can't say it's a fancy place , but I assure it's clean , and warm , simple and has the spirit of Indonesia .. well I won't give it a 5 stars for service but the service isn't that bad I can rate it for 4 ... Finally the prices is very affordable I would recommend it for all classes , but make sure that you are ready to taste differently than what you used too . ( Have options...
