Hai Ting Chinese Food — Restaurant in Alexandria

Finally finally, Alexandria has a real Chinese restaurant! 👏👏👏 I've been to Haiting two times now, and I see tables with mostly Chinese people and a few Egyptians. The restaurant was full on this Sunday evening. For good reason.

The food is real, authentic, and delicious. For example, mapo tofu can only be made with real Szechuan peppercorns imported from China. They have them! It is tangy and spicy and wonderful. 🥰 Also this is the first place in Alexandria with real Chinese dumplings, there's nothing in Egyptian cuisine anything like them. 🥟🥟🥟 Try them!

This restaurant will be expensive 💰🫰 for many people, but the portion sizes are large and can be shared. For example, the soup can easily feed three or four people. The mapo tofu can be shared among two people.

There is also a small selection of some basic Chinese ingredients: sesame oil, sauces, noodles...

انا سافرت الصين و اكلت في مطاعم صينيه كتير بره . المطعم نظيف و لكن في علامات استفهام غريبه ، الاكل كان طعمه حلو و كنا ٣ اشخاص ،طلبنا ٥ اصناف و كل صنف اخدله حوالي من ربع ل نص ساعه عشان يخلص هينزلك اول طبق حوالي نص ساعه بعد عملك الاوردر تخلصه و بعدين ينزلك التاني تخلصه و هكذا و بين كل طبق و التاني نص ساعه دي حاجه

مع ان كان في طرييزه قدامنا كان في زباين صينين و نزلهم الاكل كله بكميات اكتر من اللي نزلنا و محصلش معاهم الي حصل معانا لدرجه ان احنا ابتدينا نحس بالزل لان اخر طبق عشان ينزل اللي هو نودلز بالفراخ اخدله ٤٥ دقيقه عشان يجهز !!

لدرجه ان احنا كنا بدانا نحس بالذل و طلبنا يكنسل الاوردر الاخير و لكنه رفض و قال ٣ دقائق و فعلا استنينا ٥ دقايق كمان و بعدين طلبنا انه يكنسل

و راح المطبخ و استعجلهم و في الاخر النودلز نزلت مليانه زيت انا بجد مزهول من اللي حصل و كميه النودلز قليله جدا

انا عن نفسي بحب الصينين و الاكل الصيني و اللي حصل ده ميرضيش ربنا مع ان المطعم مكنش زحمه لما جينا فا مكنش في مبرر خالص انه يتاخر بالاطباق اللي طلبناها
