Binge Cairo — Restaurant in Cairo

To begin with, me and my friends were celebrating one of my friends' birthday while we were enjoying and celebrating one of the employees who is working there came and asked us when you will leave the place as the table we were sitting in has been reserved! So, we called the resaturant's manager to told him what this employee done! beacuse it is not normal in any place whatever is it to ask your customers when you will leave, by the way he didn't ask anyone except us! So, the manager and i will call him the un-professional manager who does'nt deserve to be called a MANAGER told us this employee has the right for what he did as you only ordere drinks and you should order food as this place has a target and they want to acheive it which is not our problem at all! me as a customer i don't care about your profitability! and he started to treat us in un-acceptable behavior as well as treated us in a very RUDE wayy!! Me as a customer has the right to be treated well by your employees! and this doesn't happened! and after i wrote my review on their facebook page they deleted my review and the reviews of others who complained from the same prolem which is " the rude behavior of the employees espically your general manager" and i didn't receive at least an aplogize about my bad expirence! so, as a result, i will share my expirence with this place on social media in order for people to know what this place really is to...

The staff was very friendly and respectful, the atmosphere was very cozy and I felt like I could sleep in my seat 😹. The music that played added to the already good vibes, and if that wasn't already enough , the food was phenomenal. The sweet and slightly spicy korean chicken tacos felt like heaven in my mouth, and the potato wedges were one in a million, the strawberry virgin mojito, and the churros could make anyone have a permanent sweet tooth.

Overall, this place is amazing, and it feels like a home away from home. I plan to come here as often as I am able to.

UPDATE: Now, I was going to add an updated version a while ago, but life had other plans, so I'll cut to the chase: The service has gotten horrible since the first time I came here, they were understaffed, would need constant reminders on our order(s) and overall performed and behaved poorly. As for the food, it still tasted phenomenal, but the portions couldn't even feed an ant colony. My mother had ordered a steak and had been given the premature infant of a cow, I had ordered a pasta dish that I had the option to tailor to my liking, and to my unfortunate surprise, the chicken included with the dish was the size of a quarter of my Digitus minimus manus. I get it. It's gourmet, and it's not meant to be affordable, but if you want to charge up to 1k EGP or more for dinner, be reasonable with your...

Been there last night.

Pros Very nice cosy place especially outdoors. Food is of excellent quality. The menu is way different from Izakaya (I guess they are the same owners). Its a Mexican-American cuisine. The appetizers and burgers were superb but the main dish was uninspiring. Super fast service, the place was packed yet F&B arrived promptly. Super friendly staff. Prices reasonable. Perfect fit for larger gatherings 6-10 people.

Cons

Indoor seating is really boring. You guys should shut down the indoor area and try redecorating it to make it more interesting.

Bottom line

The place is primarily a restaurant 1st and a pub 2nd not technically a gastropub. Interestingly, most of the guests were eating and enjoying their food which was quite a scene because if you go to other similar high-end places in Cairo, you would notice that everybody is drinking and dancing but no one is eating except us !!!.

I believe the place would also be perfect for an noon-afternoon gathering, although we thoroughly enjoyed our time late last night but I guess I would have enjoyed it more in the afternoon, but stay away from the indoors, because its a little boring even if the outside is cold, it is still more...
