I visited Salt of Earth – Garden 8 for the first time after reading many positive reviews online. With so many great restaurants in Garden 8, choosing where to go wasn't easy, but the reviews helped me decide — and I’m glad I listened!
From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and professional, even though it was late at night (just an hour before closing). I never felt rushed or uncomfortable. Mr. Hesham, who served me, was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and very helpful in guiding my choices. I shared my thoughts during the meal, and he genuinely listened.
What truly stood out was the customer care. Hesham spoke with the manager, Mr. Qusay, who personally came over to ensure everything was to my liking. He was also extremely kind and ready to fix anything I wasn't fully happy with — a sign of true professionalism. At the end of my visit, they even offered a complimentary dessert to make sure my experience ended on a high note.
What I ordered:
Mini Truffle Sliders (420 EGP) – Delicious with a standout cheese flavor. Breaded Escalope (360 EGP) – Chicken panee in a salad; unique presentation and great white sauce. Chateaubriand (1800 EGP) – Good flavor, but I prefer steak served as one piece. It came sliced, which made medium-well consistency harder to achieve. The mushroom sauce was fantastic, while the lemon-based sauce wasn’t to my taste. Sides – Fries were average, rice and sautéed vegetables were nice, but the penne pasta didn’t meet expectations. URA MAKI Sushi (Crispy, Tiger, Philadelphia, Salmon) – Tasted okay; nothing exceptional. Drinks – Classic Mojito was refreshing. Soft drink and water were standard. Complimentary dessert – A kind gesture that really left a positive final impression. Overall Experience: The food was mostly very good, with some standout dishes and a couple of items that could be improved. But the exceptional service made all the difference. The team at Salt of Earth truly cares about creating a memorable customer experience.
I’ll definitely return — not just for the food, but for the outstanding...

I came again today and the hospitality was amazing, thanks to the friendly Zyad, thank you for your hospitality!. More importantly, the manager Mr. Mohamed Zakareya was super attentive and keen on knowing my opinion about the food (Positive and negative). I ordered:
Truffle Sliders - 10:10!!. The burger slider of 3 mini-burgers was just amazing!, very recommended!
Salt of Earth Escalope - 8.5/10, Breaded chicken with pesto, tomato and mozzarella topping. As I told them, the breading needed more seasoning in my opinion. I would also recommend decreasing the garlic amount in the mashed potatoes.
In the end they brought us a crispy hot crepe roll - Was mouthwatering!, very tasty especially with the brownies inside the roll, but recommended for 2 to 3 people as it is not light!
Original review below:
One of the best restaurants I tried in Cairo!. Everything was very good or great, we ordered:
Shrimp Tacos - Tasty, full of lettuce but still has nice shrimp taste with dynamite sauce
Taragon Chicken - 9.5/10 super tasteful, you can taste the freshness of the herbs, mushroom and chicken!. Parmigiano pasta were also delicious
Veronese Pizza (Bacon Pizza) - Very tasty, freshness of the toppings and balance between the portions and dough quality, all top. Among my top 5-7 worldwide, and that including Italy!
Smoothie Extremely tasty, the mix between mango and maracuia is super balanced!

Sure BUT WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT TO EAT or order!!! I’m a customer and customer has right to eat whatever they like…i told him “if thats your policy then i’ve never heard of such a ridiculous policy in my life even in 5 stars restaurants and excuse me if thats ur policy then i wont order anything, i was about to stand up and leave. he was like “no ma’am dont go, i just dont want you to leave unsatisfied tell what you would like to order even if its “against our policy im doing this just for you to be satisfied” i opted to walk away but my mom said no, the guava juice was not a hundred percent fresh even when we paid a 60LE it had a-lot of added sugar later, the tea i ordered was very light and not diffused well, but the dessert was good. Abdulrahman the waiter stood beside me after eagerly waiting for me to give him a great review and watching closely writing my review and when i hide my screen he comes closer, such unprofessional...
