Cafe Pro's - Nile Lounge — Restaurant in Cairo

Not sure about the fuss made around this place. As soon as you walk in you can see the falling sign boards and electric wires left unattended. Went there a month ago for brunch. The waiters were rude showing know it all attitude. I ordered a mint tea, they brought me hot water with a tea bag in the side! When I asked them that my order was mint tea, the waiter brought me a mint leaf separately and added it to then lukewarm water! My friend had ordered a caramel machiato, they brought her a half full cup made with mostly whipped cream!!! When we called the waiter, instead of listening attentively, he proceeded to tell us that’s how mint tea and macchiato is made!!!!! He only accepted to change the order after I started telling him that’s not how it’s made and I wanted to speak to the manager! The wind was strong that day and the blinds started descending and swaying quite dangerously, when we told another waiter, he reassured us that they won’t slip, needless to say they kept slipping until they nearly hit our heads, at which point we’ve decided to call it a day and leave. I visited this restaurant for the first time at Ramadan..Actually i didn't have this special experience as the food was so average. I ordered chicken mushroom which sauce pasta and chicken portobello pizza.

Cons:

the pasta smells like beans and the white sauce taste was barely acceptable. the pasta was so oily. the mushroom used in the pizza is canned. the dough was kinda crispy which my friend didn't enjoy but i had no problem with that. the grilled chicken didn't have a strong flavour. they only serve plastic utensils.

Not sure what all the fuzz is about in this place!! I might have had high hopes but this is what I expected after reading throw the reviews! High rate good reviews on the virtual side. However, in reality it is all different. Very very slow service even though it wasn’t busy when we visited the cafe. We asked multiple times to be served, Then waited too long to have our orders and finally we had to walk in to the cashier inside to get the bill after we asked couple times!
