Update jun 2024.
It is really disappointing, how a brilliant brand such as cairo kitchen become this worse.
I ordered sharkeseya -their premier plat- it was awful. Sauce is preheated and tasteless, chicken was awful and not cooked well. Rice was just a blank white rice without any taste.
Appetizers, mombar and sambousek was the oiliest thing i have ever had. As they were cooked days ago and heated in a microwave.
Prices have increased to more than the double and quality became less.
Totally awful and i hope they fix this asap.
After contacting them. They said because we ordered through an app. Which is so funny and hilarious and reflects how the brand is downgrading even the customer service reply.
The authentic egyptian food master is officially back to Maadi neighborhood.
Cairo kitchen is one of the most unique egyptian cuisine venues all over cairo.
They used to have two main branches in zamalek and maadi, then maadi has been closed years ago. During this time zamalek branch has many downs and quality standards decreased.
Months ago, they got back to the quiet neighborhood of maadi at street 231 -near to the old branch- in the second floor. With a couple of tables and chairs. Tiny dining area however they are planning to expand and have a bigger dining space.
We ordered many times through delivery and food ordering apps. The quality was perfect and got back to their excellent standards at 2012.
At their cozy tiny dining space, we ordered typical egyptian fattah with meat and red sauce, and chicken fattah with yogurt sauce.
Prices are kind of pricy however it deserves the penny. Rice, meat, red sauce, chicken are perfectly mastered. Beside, other menu items are perfect and beyond perfection.
Hope they can keep their quality standards high...

Yet there’s another guy there in other days at the cashir who puts on Quran recording very loudly!! Not to mention this guy no nothing about customer services or hospitality & have no social skills!! & it was very uncomfortable & annoying sitting there eating! ! We were really embarrassed to tell the guy to lower the volume cuz they’ll for sure consider it disrespectful!! You can’t even talk to the workers there or call them to order or ask about something cuz the recording sound...
Read moreSmall but mighty, though on the first floor of a building with hardly any sign to catch your attention, except a simple neon sign with the name. Now, I must say that the food is very good. The place accommodates 2 sitting tables, but staff is very helpful and courteous (even the delivery boy is neatly dressed and polite). Portions are small (except koshari which is ample even in its standard size box), but delicious and appetizing (for ex. Grilled chicken breast gives you 2 slim but lean pieces for LE 120 + taxes). Delivery charge is a whopping LE 35 (which is...
