We made the order and I left the menu with me so I can order later if I want. Another waiter came and asked if we made an order? we told him yes we did, he asked what did you order ? we told him and we didn't understand why all these questions ? He informed us that each person should order a main dish, and that this is the rules from the restaurant's management as they revise the checques and each checque has to exceed a certain amount. We were frustrated by the way he talked to us and we didn't accept that and I asked him should we leave ? as I don't want to eat nor drink anything now. He told us that he will speak with the manager if we have an exception ! Wow, I can't believe that I have to take an exception to eat in an ordinary restaurant. It's not even a hotel restaurant with clear rules. The manager told us the same words, and he will make us an exception, we didn't accept the idea as we come frequently but we didn't expect that to happen and asked him why after taking the order the waiter didn't inform us with that ? Why are they embarrassing us in that way, especially since I kept the menu with me ? and even if I won't order it's up to me. He told us in a rude way that the waiter was just surprised of our small order, I told him why you are dealing with customers as if they are nothing to you and you are making us feeling shameful about what we ordered, and what we ordered is already written in the menu so no need to be surprised !
Simply, you are not a smart management, instead of welcoming a loyal frequent customer you made us frustrated. We won't visit any Sizzler again, you lost an instant income of an empty table that no one visited after we left the place and canceled the order because of your rude and unacceptable way! All of that was a year ago, everything changed a little bit this time, had a feeling that 90% of what i ate was âdeep friedâ the shrimp appetizer platter is literally oil and bread crumbs on a plat! Too much!! I ordered the seafood soup and it had tons of excessive spices which I didnât enjoy, I sent it back, the manager took it back to the kitchen without saying a word or explaining whatâs going on or what he is gonna do about it, he just took the dish and left, 15 minuets later our server serves the same exact soup but with less salt so I wonât taste that spice factory. Of course I wonât send it back again, that would be weird, all of that with me was fine especially that the steak was delicious, my only problem was that manager, the GM, if youâre reading this Iâd like to let you know that you really need to step up your game, Iâm a GM in a big kosher restaurant in NJ ,USA and I know exactly how things should be done.
