I recently had the pleasure of visiting ‘La Mie’, 2 times.
The interior is tastefully decorated, creating a charming French way. The lighting and decor added to the overall cozy and relaxed atmosphere, making it a perfect setting for a gathering .
The ‘La Mie Petit-Déjeuner’ with Omelett ‘Frittata’, fresh juice & crispy plain croissant was very successful.
Also the ordered ‘Tropical CO cocktail’, Mojito, coffee with Raspberry cake were very successful.
Unfortunately, I can't say this about the ‘Classic-Burger’ with add-on bacon. It was literally a disaster. The burger patty (meat layer) was really a 'thick stone' layer with no flavor at all. The bacon had nothing to do with a bacon. Personally and sincerely I would recommend La Mie removing the Burger option from their menu. I am sorry but it was the worst burger served in my life. Really…
In terms of pricing, La Mie Cairo offers good value for the quality and experience. Overall, I would highly recommend it for a breakfast, lunch or such a coffee-cake break.
Thank you for the delicious Vanilla ice cream, which was absolutely a bliss on the palate.
Thanks also for the serving team for their courtesy...
Read moreAlmost one year later , I’ve decided to give the place a second chance and boy what a disappointment The issues are still exactly the same. The staff lacks the basics of customer service and how to be courteous to guests We’ve ordered some lunch items with soup and salad To my surprise main dishes were served before salad and soup (lack of basic principle of how meals are orderly served) Very very very slow service and the place was less than half full (can’t imagine how do they perform when they really busy) There was an abundance of waiters/waitresses how ever they move on a very slow pace and for some unknown reason they take super long time before they get you anything you ask for Our waitress was mainly focused on upselling the most expensive items on the menu (like she’s getting a commission or something) I had to ask 3 times for the final bill from 3 different people and wait for 10-15 minutes to get it I think in my own opinion the management of this place need to take a serious consideration on how to...
Read moreIf you stay with Fairmount, you have to come down to the LL floor and try La Mie. During our restaurant research, La Mie only had 8 reviews. Since the place looked cute and new, we decided to give it a try.
It was AMAZING! The food was delicious. We ordered two smoothies (mango passion fruit, green apple pear), both were really good. We also tried their French onion soup and mushroom cappuccino soup, we loved both. For main course, we ordered the lamb and sea bass. It’s the most tender lamb I’ve ever had. The Mediterranean sea bass was buttery and tender too.
The price was very reasonable (for American standard). The portion was generous. The service was on point.
This is a HIDDEN GEM that you don’t want to...
