My stay at this property was far below the standards expected of a 5-star establishment. With the exception of Rana from Guest Relations, who was courteous and professional, the overall service and attitude of the staff reflected indifference and a lack of accountability. From check-in to check-out, our two-night stay was marked by repeated disappointments. The room initially allotted to us was in unacceptable condition — stained cushions, an unclean bed setup, and clear evidence of poor housekeeping. This, despite being told at check-in that it was “the best room available.” The following morning, even the breakfast setup fell short, with stained napkins served at the table. After much insistence, we were finally shifted to another room, but only after an unreasonable two-hour wait in the evening, as no rooms were ready from 3 PM to 7 PM. The overall staff demeanor was cold and dismissive, lacking the warmth and professionalism one would expect from a hospitality brand of this category. The “lost and found” process was equally concerning — a shirt and t-shirt we left behind in the washroom were never retrieved, with the manager suggesting that “a guest might have taken it.” Such a response is unacceptable and reflects poorly on internal accountability and guest security. Adding to the disappointment, my original review highlighting these genuine issues was reported by the property in what appears to be an attempt to suppress honest feedback rather than address it constructively. This act, in itself, raises serious concerns about transparency and customer care. In my considered opinion, this hotel does not live up to its 5-star claims. Prospective guests should be aware of these shortcomings before making a booking.

Checked in - No WiFi for around 2/3hours. Kept blaming it on the server. No apologies. No compensation, no plan b, no helping the guest to purchase an alternative. (It’s meant to be a 5 star hotel) I needed it for a meeting. Room - small, it was clean/tidy, but some places lacked detail, no extra toilet rolls , no tooth brushes / face towels, no room service menu. Room is abit old and you see the wear and tear, needs to be updated. Bathroom shower door is broken, water will splash out and floor is flooded with water after shower. Very noisy barking dogs outside that will bark all night, it’s very loud, the windows and sliding doors cannot block the noise. Very noisy at night, please be aware. Sliding door is broken. Service is ok, their English isn’t great, but they are helpful, like some reviews already mentioned, not consistent, for a 5 star hotel, it should be always consistently high level customer service with friendly smiles at all times. No nearby shops/ snacks stores, you will be followed by local kids asking for money, please be aware and careful if you are a female. Most annoying thing is the noise. The nearby dogs , seems like 100s of them, are barking all at the same time, non stop, and then it will continue throughout the night. If you like peace and quiet, this is not a place for that. Even until after midnight! Also the traffic noise. The windows are too weak. Not double glazed. The staff are professional and try their best. But for a 5 star luxury hotel overall, I believe it should be better. The first and last time I will stay here.

Double charged nearly triple the room rate — no refund, no accountability.

I stayed at this hotel on June 21, 2025 expecting a five-star experience. Instead, I left with a 24,220 EGP charge on my card for a 9,720 EGP room — and over two weeks later, I’m still chasing the hotel for a refund.

Here’s what happened:

At check-in, I was informed that the room rate plus a 5,000 EGP security deposit would be pre-authorized, and that the room rate would later be charged while the deposit would be released.

At check-out, I was told by a different receptionist that I needed to pay again — even though the previous one had assured me the hold would suffice. I paid 9,720 EGP (room + parking), and was told it would be deducted from the held amount.

But instead of a refund or adjustment, both the pre-authorization (14,500 EGP) and the room charge (9,720 EGP) went through — totaling 24,220 EGP for a one-night stay.

When I contacted the hotel to fix it, the billing staff insisted that there was no issue and blamed the bank. I was told that I was confused, despite providing receipts and clear evidence. This felt less like a mistake and more like a refusal to take responsibility. Over two weeks later, the money is still not returned.

This was the most serious issue, but unfortunately not the only one:

Housekeeping walked into our room at 9 AM while we were still sleeping. While the hotel later apologized for this, it was shocking and violated any sense of privacy. We had booked a panoramic-view room with a king bed, but were told only twin beds were available. The receptionist said “not to worry, the twin beds is big enough.” When I pointed out that I booked a king bed, I was told “it’s subject to availability.” A second staff member said we’d be “upgraded,” but what we got was clearly a downgrade, based on room views. During the booking process, I called a few times and was quoted different prices every time. Each time, I was told the previous agent made a mistake. This doesn’t reflect a hotel with consistent standards. I emailed the hotel afterward with all the details of the billing situation, and never even received a reply. The hotel may look luxurious from the outside, but the lack of transparency, disorganization, and especially the mishandling of money raises serious concerns.

I would strongly caution others from booking here until they demonstrate better accountability and professionalism. There are far better-run hotels in Cairo that actually respect...

I normally don’t write negative reviews, but after this experience, I feel compelled to share. This was truly one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had and unfortunately, it was at a property that promises a high standard of service and comfort. I had booked a suite with Club Millésime access, expecting a premium experience, but was met with poor service, neglect, and frustration at every turn.

The room cleaning service was extremely slow despite repeatedly requesting cleaning before leaving my room, I would return more than five hours later to find it untouched. This happened multiple times, even after following up with the front desk. For a hotel of this level, such delays in basic housekeeping are simply unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the hotel was hosting a French VIP delegation, and it was very clear that all attention and service were focused on them. The rest of the guests, including myself, were completely neglected. It’s disappointing to be treated like a second class guest simply because you’re not part of a VIP group especially when you’re paying for a suite.

Room service was equally careless. One of my food orders arrived with missing items, and no proper follow-up was made. On another occasion, my brother came to visit me as a guest, and although our names clearly indicated we were related, the staff didn’t bother to verify or accommodate. Instead, they asked my brother to call me at 7 AM, forcing me to get out of bed and go downstairs just to hand him my access card something that could’ve easily been managed more professionally.

On top of that, they don’t allow delivery drivers from Talabat to come to your door. Guests are forced to walk all the way outside, up a long and exhausting ramp, just to collect their food. This defeats the purpose of comfort and convenience it felt more like a struggle than a stay.

And finally, when I requested a simple 3-hour late checkout extension, they had the audacity to ask for an extra charge. After everything, this felt like the last straw.

I genuinely regret booking this hotel and would absolutely never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. It was a completely joyless and frustrating experience, far below even basic hospitality standards. This hotel needs to seriously reconsider how it treats guests and what kind of experience it wants to offer because right now, it’s certainly not living up to its name this is not a five stars hotel this is a 1 star...
