I recently discovered this authentic Egyptian cuisine and I'm so glad I did! The atmosphere was beautiful traditional décor and warm, inviting ambiance. The service was exceptional – attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly staff who made our dining experience special.
The menu is extensive, and nearly everything we tried was outstanding. The vegetable soup was hearty and perfectly seasoned – a must-try starter. The Hawawshi was absolutely delicious and reminded me of the best street food in Egypt. The plain Fattah was expertly prepared with perfectly cooked rice and crispy bread, while the shish tawook was tender and beautifully marinated. Their steak surprised me – cooked to perfection and seasoned with just the right blend of spices.
The only dishes that didn't quite meet expectations were the kofta, and the stuffed pigeon, which wasn't quite as flavorful as I'd hoped.
Overall, this place offers an authentic Egyptian dining experience with high-quality ingredients and proper traditional preparation methods. Whether you're familiar with Egyptian cuisine or trying it for the first time, I highly recommend giving it a try. The prices are a bit expensive but the quality and portion sizes you get will satisfy you.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Shajarat Al-Durr restaurant for the first time, and I must say, my expectations were far exceeded! Initially, I thought the owner might be overrating his establishment, but I was pleasantly surprised. I brought my wife along, and upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed. I requested a kitchen tour, and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us. Ramy, our guide, took us through every detail of the kitchen, and I was impressed by the cleanliness and organization. It’s one of the cleanest kitchens I've ever seen! They have separate stations to prevent cross-contamination, which speaks volumes about their commitment to food safety and quality. Now, onto the food! I had my doubts about whether it would live up to the owner's enthusiastic claims, but I was proven wrong yet again. The quality of the meat was superb, and the rice maamar was simply out of this world—flavorful and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent as well; the staff was attentive and eager to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. Overall, Shajarat Al-Durr is an exceptional place to dine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food, a clean environment, and fantastic service. I can’t...

Cleanliness as advertised.
I rarely leave reviews, but by far the best restaurant we’ve tried in Egypt if not the best restaurant we’ve tried yet.
The food and cleanliness were the best most memorable parts about it.
The tarb was especially tasty. Unforgettable. The juice too. The bread came hot and out the oven, we had to wait a couple minutes for another basket so you can just order more before the one you have finishes.
Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Big thanks and respect to all staff members.
Very reasonably priced in comparison to other restaurants in the same price point. I support the initiative and message of this restaurant. Of offering a clean, neat perspective to Egyptian cuisine.
A special thanks of respect and appreciation to the founder Mr. Hisham Anas, for presenting such a beautiful and international image of...
