Ted's - Madinaty — Restaurant in Cairo

Whilst the decor is stylish, the service and food are awful. I ordered in English as everything is in English and I do not speak Arabic, the waiter didn't understand me and immediately diverted to my husband! No halloumi, so I chose another salad (sharing size as my main course) and husband a burger. We then ordered drinks, I asked for the fresh orange, carrot and ginger juice. Waiter disappeared. Waiting..... waiting.... waiting. Drinks arrived, absolutely no ginger in my drink and I'm sure no orange, in fact it was very watered down, so I sent it back. More waiting..... Meanwhile my husbands burger with fries arrives, we wait, no sign of my salad, wait and wait, my husband starts giving me his fries. 15+ mins later a member of staff stops and asks what we ordered!!!! Offers to reheat my husbands burger! 20+ more minutes my salad finally arrives with a replacement juice to be told they have no ginger!!!!

Half way through my salad two pieces of bread arrive with olives and some dip!

Replacement juice is also tasteless orange coloured water.

Salad is in a small bowl heaven knows how small a single one is I think it had about 5 pieces of corn in it. It's padded out with salad leaves with minimal if everything else on the top

DISAPPOINTED but I was now too hungry to complain further.

The staff seem to all be students, no class or service skills, they are dressed in baggy t-shirts and joggy bottoms.

Following the meal I went to Gourmet a few hundred meters away and surprised a whole basket of ginger!

We won't be eating here again or recommending it, the food and service are not matching the appearance of the restaurant and wasn't worth...

I recently dined at Ted’s , and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with a beautifully designed interior that sets the perfect mood for a relaxed meal.

But what truly made it special was the incredible staff specially (Radwa & Bassant). From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a welcoming attitude. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect.

The food was exceptional—each dish was crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was on point. I particularly loved the [mention a dish you enjoyed], which was a delightful blend of textures and tastes.

The entire team at Ted’s works seamlessly together, creating an atmosphere where you feel valued as a guest. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service are top-notch, but Ted’s exceeds expectations on both fronts.

I've always enjoyed eating here. I like the combination of American / Italian food. This place is clean and the staff are very nice and friendly. Meal portions are good. Maybe slightly too big. Bring a light jacket though as you're essentially eating inside the mall we were actually freezing under the aircon. Our favourite is always the mac and cheese balls but they used to be served sitting in a nice sauce. The balls are now smaller and dip is on the side. It was better before. The truffle chips tasted of nothing so I wouldn't bother ordering that and the pizza 🤦‍♀️ they don't cook it long enough. The dough in the middle is raw. The parts that are cooked are delicious. But don't order the vegetarian pizza. The veg is raw and the cheese is too much and congealed. I know it sounds like I have moaned a lot but the rest of our meals were great.
