مطعم ابن الشام Ibn Alsham Restaurant — Restaurant in New Cairo City

Very disappointed this time ,we visited the restaurant around 9ish after iftar , tables were dirty , had to ask to clean it ( no cleaning stuff was available so the waiter had to clean it with wet wipes ) , no cutlery was there after food has been served , had to look for someone to ask for it as there was only one waiter available, food quality was very low 1- Sfiha was smelly , asked to change it , chef tried to convince me its ok but I ve eaten it several times at this restaurant and overseas never been that smelly ( like something is off ) , chef has taken it , reheated it and served it back as he says there is nothing wrong with it , my son got sick from it ( throwing up and high temperature) 2- grilled chicken has been served cold 3- fries was cold and soggy , after complaining we ve been served another plate with hot ones ** to be honest we haven't enjoyed our meal at all and don't feel it's a trusted clean place specially after our kids got sick from it

• totally understand that after iftar all stuff are exhausted but its not an excuse as if a big name like you can't stand to its standards then you should close down after iftar WONT...

Worst Shawerma experience i have ever had, we ordered 2 “Maria” boxes for me and my coworker… first of all the chicken was average and dry, tomeya didnt taste good and its texture was very rough, not as smooth and creamy as a tomeya is supposed to be.

The bread was HORRIBLE! The bread was مفرول and it was so obvious its not fresh at all. potatoes were dry and so tender and it looked and tasted like its been there for more than a day... i dont think its so hard to cook fresh potatoes!

Coleslaw was under average and didnt taste fresh at all, it was warm and not as cold as you would expect a coleslaw is.

And lastly, 0 utensils was provided with the order. Our order was over 400 EGP and we didnt even get a single tissue, not even spoons or forks to eat the coleslaw with. We had to go get utensils from outside which was really the cherry on top for this horrible experience.

Funniest part is they put on the box “Premium Quality” or something… just outrageous! The box was probably the only thing that was actually good.

Not a good experience in this restaurant. You should not believe everything you read or hear until you try it yourself. The first impression in this restaurant in matter of location and decorations is good but you start to lose your confidence with the place when you discover that the plates are all made with plastic. In matter of food , we ordered a starter that this place used to be famous with , but it came cold and we asked for reheating but unfortunately the taste was not that good. Coming to the main plates , we ordered three mix grilled plates and unfortunately none of them came hot and they were all cold , so we complained to the manager and he tried to apologize but of course it was too late. We just canceled the order and we paid only for the tasteless starter that we ate at the beginning. May be the shawarma could taste better in this restaurant but the mix grill or any other plates are not recommended. I hope they return to their old good quality that they used to have otherwise they will lose the trust of...
