Tabali - Town Center Tagamoa — Restaurant in Cairo

Whenever I’m in Cairo, I meet a friend for breakfast at Tabali. It became our ritual. Tabali is so good, that this was maybe my 10th visit. The outdoor area is very pleasant. The service is perfect. All the staff is so cheerful and helpful. It is really rare to find this type of service in Cairo.

Today we ordered: a plate of Foul with saffron lemon (10/10) a plate of Feta Cheese with Tomatoes (10/10) and a plate Scrambled eggs with pastrami (8/10).

Their Fava beans dish with Saffron Lemon must be their signature dish. Each time I visit Tabali, I order this dish. I don’t know how they cook it but the flavors from this mixture is incredible: the beans are so tender and the lemon saffron mix adds a perfect brightness for contrast . When you take a bite, the beans melt like butter in my mouth, then I get a ting of the lemon. It is a unique taste. I like this dish so much, I took 2 boxes as takeaway, so I can have it for breakfast throughout the coming week.

I would give it a 0 if i could. The food took too much time to come and when it came it was cold, not well presented and dry, you could tell they didn't care and there was no one supervising over there or they just didn't care. Me and my friend ordered barbecue sheesh tawooq and regular sheesh tawooq, mine came in a normal portion and then they gave my friend 4 pieces of chickens and the rest of the dish they slandered it with peppers and onions, when we spoke to them about this they took both plates to fix and hit up, when they brought them back now my dish was disproportionate and my friends dish was full of chickens lol so it was obvious they took the chicken in my plate and put it in my friend's dish lol. The food didn't look presentable at all and looked like it would make you sick right away, we fed most of it to the cats and we also paid the full amount. Dusty table and utensils, plastic cultery.

Overall not a good experience and will never go back...

Really very bad experience since the arrival as the host said no table available you and your family have to wait (no problem) after waiting 20 minutes offered sunny table, after asking the waiter for umbrella he said no in a very rudely, after waiting another 10 minutes offered table for 2 while we were 4, after asking to order waiter came (Eslam)and took our order as follow: roasted children served with Molokhia & rice. Italian father tamiaa & Bosara. 15 minutes we received the father, very good, waiting 20 minutes to receive TMiaa & Bosara which should present before the fatayer, at this moment I asked for the head waiter who went for another 10 minutes then came to said no bosara available, then when he present the check including Bosara Really first-class of mass and disorganised at all,...
