I've never been fond of restaurants that are "pretentious" or have a gimmick, and my first impression of this place was that is was trying to be something it isn't, but upon my first sip of the Spicy miso, my opinions started to change. After I took a bite of the homemade udon noodles my reluctance vanished and was replaced by a realization that this place was not trying to be pretentious but it managed to be what it was going for and more. I could immediately tell the ramen was made with love and a lot of attention to detail and it was made homemade too, there is no way something frozen would taste that good. The pork cut was amazing, it was lean and fatty in all the right places and the ground pork was also delicious. The broth was rich with flavor and aroma, some reviews call it salty but I do not feel the same way, these people would probably eat Maruchan and add more salt to it and still complain about this broth. You might find the $12 price tag a bit steep for a "noodle soup" as I did before trying it, but now I find myself saving to go again and daydreaming about it. I cannot stop recommending this place and you...
Read moreCool place, great atmosphere and music selection everything is ready for a beautiful full experience but..... We really didn't enjoy the ramen and when you spend 60 dollars for 2 ramen one appetizer and beers, well your start judging differently. 1st the low quality process made noodle, from the best ramen place in town i would excpect to see some effort here, no house made noodles? Then at least find a good supplier. 2nd, the ramen broth, well, taste was ok, nothing special, nothing reminding me japan unfortunately. 3th, the meat, the smoked kind of flavor and the texture of the pork wasn't good at all, i left it partially cause i wasn't enjoy really. 4th and last, the appeappetizer was the inly good thing really, i ve ordered the bao with porck belly and that was juicy and nice. I think if the chef and ownare really passioned could really improve the place easily, but the local people sseem to enjoy the place and like the flavors so maybe they are doing things nist fine for locals, but if you have been to japan then you would be...
Read moreDelicious food and nice location. Unfortunately, we did not like 2 details: We were only approached by one of the waiters 10 minutes after we had found a table and only then he pointed out that the menu would be available exclusively on Instagram. We then waited another 10 minutes until another waite came to note our order. We were there on a - for Salvadoran conditions - cool evening. Nevertheless, both air conditioners in the small dining room were running at 16°C and full strength. Which (with the door open) is a disaster for climate protection reasons on the one hand, and on the other hand made the place freezing cold and drafty. After we asked the waiter to turn up the air conditioning by 1-2 degrees, he left without comment and did nothing to change the...
