Everything about the stay at il Buongustaio was WONdERFUL. This is one of those stays where I actually could not wait to write a review about all of its awesomeness. Firstly, the included parking was ample and easy. The location is great, walking distance to many restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The decor is classy and beautiful. Cleanliness was impeccable. The included breakfast options were better than we’ve had in popular brunch spots anywhere! The first day we had the elote pancakes and the campesino dishes. The second day we had the pistachio pancakes and French toast - - so so good!! The gym had exactly the essentials for a refreshing workout. And above all fantastic was the service and communication from front desk, maintenance, and restaurant staff. Really really top noch, particularly for the reasonable rate. Thanks...
Read moreWe loved staying at Nico Urban Hotel and eating at the on-site restaurant Il Buongustaio. As soon as you enter the hotel there's a feeling of relaxation and comfort. The hotel offers modern amenities but keeps its vintage flare. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure our every need was met during our stay. The rooms were beautifully decorated and had everything we could ask for. We especially loved the little private garden. The food at Il Bongustaio was delicious - we couldn't get enough of their authentic Italian dishes. The best part is that the hotel is so central to everything meaning you can walk or take an Uber to wherever you are going, we loved staying in San Benito it's the safest and best neighborhood in El Salvador. Overall, our experience at Nico Urban was top-notch and we can't wait to...
Read moreGo for the food and drinks, but avoid staying overnight in a room. Our room had the worst configuration we've ever had. Nice garden & patio off our room, but nothing else about the room was good. There is a tiny sink & toilet area with a HUGE shower room. There's a step UP from the bathroom, a raised platform with a love seat, then a step DOWN to the bed area. Try doing that in the middle of the night!?!!??||The place has an award winning bartender that served up spectacular cocktails -- not cheap, in fact they were quite expensive --but worth it. And breakfast was delicious, but took 50 minutes after we ordered and we were one of only 2 tables there. Had to gulp down our food, beg for a 2nd cup of coffee, and run. ||Overall, this place may be a good deal in the ritzy section of San Salvador, but not some place we'd...
