Amazing Birthday Celebration at Basilico Italian Restaurant
I celebrated my 30th birthday at Basilico Italian Restaurant yesterday, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the staff, including Ruta, La, Tina, and Vatili, welcomed with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire evening.
The ambience of the restaurant was enchanting, with soft lighting, cosy seating, and the ocean view. The attention to detail on everything added to the overall ambience, creating the perfect evening for my special celebration.
Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply divine! Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Italian flavours and made with the freshest ingredients. From the Carbonara to the mouthwatering desserts, each bite was a culinary delight that left us craving more.
What truly set Basilico apart was the personalized touch they added to my birthday celebration. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel special, surprising me with a delightful birthday treat of all the staff singing in the Fijian language that added an extra layer of joy to the evening. Being a fan of history and culture it made my celebration truly memorable.
Needless to say, I will be back to Basilico Italian Restaurant without a doubt. The combination of exceptional service, delectable food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect destination for any occasion. Grazie mille to the entire team at Basilico for making my 30th birthday celebration one...
Read moreParty of 15. We called since we were turned away on Christmas night without reservation. They said all resort full service restaurants require reservation, so we made one 1 hr before they open at 5:30 pm. Food was decent, generous portions, great varieties, and came with a salad bar & dessert bar. Service was less than adequate, dirty plates piled up & water glasses were nearly empty all the time. It”s Fiji time, very laid back. I understand. That’s why we still tipped her 12% on a $900 FJD food bill. Service was friendly though. Here’s the bad part. The surcharges brought the bill to $1,100 FJD minus the $110 tip. Surcharges included %10 holiday fee, %3 credit card but they don’t accept cash - funny, and resort fees. We ate at the Denarau marina restaurant (Nadina) for $800 vs $1200 FJD and food was better & service was excellent. Portions were smaller, but it’s not the quantity that matters most. The BLU did have ocean view from the restaurant & was walking distance. You pay for the view &...
Read moreI hate posting bad reviews like this, but for the price, this place is actually horrible and if I can spare someone wasting their money here, it was worth the review.
Do not order a Caprese salad, the cheese is hard and it's literally a piece of flat hard cheese with a tomato slices, no sauces or glazing (ie. Zero flavour).
The brushetta is okay, it's the only non rip off item but maybe that's because the toast is those already toasted ones from the grocery. The antipasto platter cost $95 FJD and it was 2 types of ham and no cheeses. It was large and a nice looking platter, but the variety was non existent.
We all ordered different pasta, not one of them had any flavour. We found ourselves adding alot of salt and pepper but this did not fix the lack of flavour. This place is expensive for absolutely no reason.
O, make sure you don't sit for dinner on the big outdoor table we pre-booked a month earlier for. The seats are literally tree stumps with no...
