A genuine French café and bakery and it's heavenly! We came here at 8am and the queue started slowly forming which is unavoidable in a great place like this. EDIT: Something kept bugging me about this review the next day and then I realized that I gave one star too much. The service - while functional and fast enough - was lacking. Two young women were behind the counter but they didn't seem to welcome customers or smile much. In an otherwise excellent place like this it would really add that final icing on the cake if I was greeted with a smiling "Welcome!" when stepping in. It's very early days for this place so plenty of room to fix it. Get this right and the fifth star is your's!

I'm craving éclairs and this is the first place in Helsinki where I found them. Though arpund 15 there were only 2 éclairs left, it might be worth visiting in the morning for better selection. Coffee is good and rather cheap, 2.9 for a big cup of americano.

I love Le Jardin. The best place in Helsinki. The most tasty pastry I have ever tried. The owner and chef Olivier Lucas is such a friendly person, telling about assortment of the cafe and giving advice about what to choose.

Not bad. The decor is something out of a small country town in France, not the special kind, just the we want to make a cafe type, the ladies working behind the counter are friendly, but not yet fully aware of how to be, and I know Finnish culture is that you wait for your coffee, but if you aren’t busy it’s a small thing to bring the coffee over to me 1 meter away (that’s Finnish culture for you). Anyway the actual coffee taste is really good and generally the pastries are good although the 2nd time I went, the pastry was slightly less good. This place could have so much potential as a local hipster ish type cafe with people who want to get to know you rather then we are workers, but I fear this is not the case. Additionally outdoor seating with some music could also add a lot. Anyway glad to have a less commercial cafe where the focus is on the product rather then just the name of the product. Hopefully it...

Ex-Parisian student here! Had a craving for a real croissant and coffee this morning and decided to try it out. Very friendly Finnish/French/English speaking staff. Tried the Paris-Brest (pâtisserie), croissant and pain au chocolat and was brought back instantly. With a coffee was the perfect start to the day! Can’t wait to come back and try more, I sincerely recommend...
