Ravintola Ginn — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

We've now been here twice. Both times the food was fantastic. However, both times the service was a total mess. The waiter doesn't speak Finnish but the menu is in Finnish, and there's no English menu. The waiter clearly has had no training at all. Both times we had to ask for the drink menu because they forgot. I asked for some separate Miso but she said they didn't have it (then they served us 2 cold bowls with our main lol). They have all the spirits for cocktails but they wouldn't make any (again, clearly lack of training). The tea was served too hot to drink but both our Miso bowls were stone cold. Please check the dishes are ready to eat when you serve them. Don't serve cold Miso. Otherwise the mains have always been delicious. However, for the price and some of the worst music (those covers are just absolutely horrible please change your playlist) the service really lets the place down. Hopefully with time and feedback they'll improve because the food really is great. Finally, you also can't book a table for some reason and the place is tiny so seating on a Friday is...

I had a lunch with my friends and for me personally I loved it. The food tastes really good, just I didn't eat one of the sauses because it was too spicy for me ( I don't eat a lot of spicy stuffs). I had from the menu items "A3" deep fried pork with spicy chilli sause (9,90€) and number "9" that was deep fried chicken with two sausages, rice and miso soup (17,90€). There was like a little buffet with some green salad, pasta salad and some others. It had very good fruits, all of the fruits tasted and looked good. It had tea with brown sugar. And it was great that i had water on the table, you could also ask for more water or cups if you need. The woman's bathroom was huge and clean ( I don't know for men's one since I can't go there🤣). And what was very nice is that at one point the chef came and and asked us how do we like the food and do we think something can be better, he was very kind and overall the experience there was amazing. Can't wait...

Unfortunately very bad price-quality ratio. The rice bowl looked sad :( The ingredients were only rice and meat and a table spoon of vegetables on top of it. The portion was small. Half of the rice was overcooked, and dry and cold at the same time. I could tell it has been there for a while. The beef had a decent flavor but sauce was soaked in (canola?) oil. The meal was also ready in about 3-4 minutes which doesn’t really indicate being fresh. Nice atmosphere but food quality should...
