Restaurant Ismet — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

I went to Ismet as a suggestion from a couple of friends and I'm so glad I did! I've had the kebab, the burgers and the pizza here and I can't even begin to tell you how good they all are! The burgers, for example, are one of the best I've ever eaten in my life! And that's not an exaggeration. The kebab is like no other in Uusimaa. Or anywhere else I've been to in Finland, for that matter. Every meal feels and tastes like a carefully homemade meal and not something whipped in a hurry. The staff are super friendly and nice. The place itself is cleaned and disinfected constantly as they are aware that this pandemic is still going on. What a find! The restaurant we were heading to was closed so we walked a touch further to Ismet. It was well worth it, with a lovely welcome, explanation of ordering process, a choice of English or Finnish menu.

There were salads, pizzas, steaks, falafel and burgers. I had a pizza and my mum had the chicken Caesar salad. We were also invited to help ourselves to the salad bar which was a lovely unexpected touch. The food was beautifully prepared, service was quick and the food tasted amazing. The pizza was thin and fluffy.

Food was pretty ok. I wish the menu would have said that the kebab roll has pickles in it since I am not fan of pickles.

There was a thick layer of smoke in the dining area from the kitchen. Maybe they were re seasoning their pans or something. It definitely got clearer after we were done eating. But now I think my jacket might smell for a week.

Overall it was not horrible experience. I might come again if a friend insists, othervise...
