I found this restaurant while visiting Helsinki with my wife and daughter. This was her first time ever eating at a Nepalese cuisine restaurant. I really wish we had taken a moment to take pictures of our plates before we devoured them but alas the review will have to suffice. We had no issues finding the place and although we walked from our hotel, anyone driving should have very little issue with street parking The ambiance is excellent. Several small rooms and a few tables out front. The facility itself was Clean and inviting. We tend to always check out the bathrooms as that tells you a lot about the kitchen. The restrooms were spotless and well stocked. The waiter was friendly, funny and provided us with many options and choices. He should be paid more. The food was colourful, full of flavour and extremely well presented. To be honest more food than. Any of us could eat We highly recommend this restaurant and know whole heartedly that you and your party will leave...
Read moreThe restaurant has both a-la-carte and set menu for dinner. We ordered the dinner set menu. The front-of-house staff (and probably the owner, too) was very friendly and attentive. My husband asked if my milk (in dessert) could come first because I felt cold and he took action immediately and i was surprised because I also had another milk cup as dessert. The food was served hot and one after another (not that everything was placed at once which will be confused and messy). I remember I saw a take-away customer and the onwer became his chat friend while waiting for the food. I could see a very friendly and warm-welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant. Price wise, our portion was huge to both me and my husband (he is a Finn and eats quite well). I would say the price is good value for money and would recommend this restaurant. The ice cream is also tasty. We will...
Read moreCurry houses are all different across Europe as they have to cater for local tastes and spice tolerance. Would rate this place as solid in terms of the food. Even though I ordered a spicy starter and main, I didn't find it at all spicy, but then I probably have a much higher tolerance than the local Finns. The place is pleasant and clearly popular with locals as apart from guests at the restaurant, it was also doing deliveries. It's good value for money with generous portion sizes. When you order a main, you get naan bread, rice, salad and yoghurt with it. The rice served alongside is boiled.
All in all, if you're after Indian type food, I suspect it's going to be good as any and better than most in Helsinki. It's easy enough to get to being less than five minutes from the number...
