I visited this Nepalese restaurant in Helsinki with my wife, who is from Nepal. I must admit, it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant impresses from the moment you enter with its warm, cozy atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit of Nepal. The interior is minimally decorated, with decorative details adding charm and authenticity to the place.
The service was extremely friendly and courteous. The waiter and owner, with a smile on their faces, advised us on our dish choices, paying attention to every detail of our visit. We felt truly welcome, which significantly enhanced our overall experience. We had a very pleasant conversation with them.
As for the food, it definitely deserves the highest praise. We ordered two types of momo, the traditional Nepalese dumplings, which were absolutely delicious. The delicate dough, perfectly seasoned filling, and aromatic sauce made us feel like we were back in Nepal. We also ordered masala chai, which was the perfect complement to our meal – aromatic, with a distinct spice flavor, warm and soothing.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to try chatpate, one of the typical Nepalese dishes, because, as the staff explained, it wasn't popular among the local residents and was practically removed from the menu. It's a shame for Finish people because it's a Nepalese street food worth trying.
The restaurant deserves great recognition. The dishes we had the chance to taste were exactly like those we tried during our travels to Nepal. This place definitely stands out among other restaurants in Helsinki thanks to its authenticity and passion for Nepalese cuisine, as well as the friendly service.
In summary, the Nepalese restaurant in Helsinki is a place worth visiting. The atmosphere, service, and food make it a unique place we will definitely return to. If you are looking for an authentic Nepalese culinary experience in the heart of Helsinki, this is the place that will meet your expectations. Highly...
Read moreI had the make-your-own noodle bowl with tofu, veggies, and chili sauce, plus the veggie spring rolls — everything was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. I also tried a Nepalese beer, which paired perfectly with the meal. The location is great, just a short walk from popular bars like Harju 8.
What really sets this place apart is that it's open later than most spots in Helsinki (especially if you're looking for more than just fast food). I also had a great conversation with the owner, which made the experience even better. I’d recommend it for the food alone, but the friendly vibe and late hours are a big bonus. Will definitely return next time I’m...
