🙏🌸❤️Fantastic Food and Service with a smile! Best restaurant in Lappeenranta ! Wonderful Vegan selection! My wife and I were warmly received as we entered and were given the option of table and chair seating on the right side of the restaurant or the Low table and cushion seating on the left side of the restaurant. We opted for the low table and cushion seating and we really were glad that we had. It gave an added dimension to the dining experience and made our time there all the more enjoyable. The staff member who served was so professional and polite, when he heard me speaking in English, he quickly offered an English menu to help. We were impressed by the great variety of vegan dishes all of which were marked clearly on the menu , making choosing all the more easier. We opted for the fresh Spring roll with Vegan Sausage and Batatas(sweet potato) served with Viet Bao Special Hoisin sauce. It was delicious !! Yum! Then we opted for the BBQ Tofu , Mushroom and Baby Corn noodle bowl. Served with rice vermicelli, fresh herbs, salad, pickled root vegetable(carrots) , cucumber, crispy onion, roasted peanuts and soy sauce. They were amazing and packed full of flavour. Again as each dish was served the staff member explained the dishes and also gave an insight into Vietnamese etiquette and how to best enjoy the dish. It was superb service and superb food. Just what we were needing and much much more. The soothing music and open plan kitchen also added to the experience. The chefs were very professional, polite and caring too. It was a fabulous experience from start to finish. The pricing is very fare and the portions plentiful. They now have a lovely drink menu and as an added bonus they offered us complementary tea or coffee at the end of our meal. There are also some deserts available if you still have room. My wife and I left the restaurant full, very content and highly impressed by the lunch we had received. We can recommend Viet Bao to everybody as it really is that good. Delicious, well cooked and beautifully served food. The kids (3+6yo) loved it and compeeted in who could eating the most of dad's dish Vietnamees Pho. Luckily there was plenty of food to go around. We also had the fried springrolls (big hit with the kids) and fresh rolls. The BBQ tofu and noodles dish was excellent, sooo tasty! Our eldest is mad for bao so he was quite dissappointed that it was not on the menu.. yet. But it was more than made up for by the other tasty kidsfriendly dishes (if your kids like asian food that is) AND the relaxed atmosphere that allowed the kids to be themselves and the parents to relax. Excellent service and taking children readily in consideration. Nice atmosphere and I like the way they decorated the space. Points also for having so many hand sanitizer bottles scattered to strategic locations. Food was near perfect, everything I hoped for when it comes to pho and spring rolls. Not many places in Finland to enjoy so well done Vietnamese cuisine. Kombuchas were nice, too. I also liked that there is no separate children's menu, but you can order half portions instead. More places should do this. There's room for improvement, though - toilets should be updated, but at least they tried to bring some cheer to them by painting the doors with bright colours and cute figures to indicate which is for ladies and which is...
