Eh, not worth the drive out of town and more expensive than most other options.
We were initially recommended cocktails to start. I asked which they would recommend and were hyped on a Blackberry Sparkling drink. We both love blackberry so said that sounds great, we'll have that. In the next breath we were informed they were out of blackberries. Oof.
The wine selection was disappointing with our first two choices being out of stock, and then the next best option was a 90 euro Chablis that would normally retail for 20 euro. So that was disappointing.
We both had Arctic Char, one of which was wellllll charred. Not sure why they'd serve one, skin-side up, that was obviously burnt. The service was poor. The hotel pictures gave the dining hall a warmer and cozier impression than the big room of tables turned out to be.
We had a 295 euro prepaid dinner scheduled for New Years Eve that we couldn't cancel unfortunately. So we went forward with that the next day. We were shocked when we were pointed toward where to go for the Buffet. We've celebrated NYE in many nice hotel restaurants given the ease of celebrating and getting home. This was an absolute rip off though and the food was less than mediocre. A hoard of people going to a buffet vs an actual course meal certainly puts a damper on...
   Read moreI can't recommend, very bad service. I reserved a quiet table by the window with a beautiful view for my birthday over a month in advance. We then got a table with a view of the house facade and next to a loud family of 5. When we asked to move to another table, the waitress rudely said that it would be difficult because all the tables were reserved. However, the 6(!) tables were empty until the end of our time slot. When we complained about this to the hotel manager and asked for compensation for the botched birthday evening, she replied that she had "big groups who are having (prebooked) dinner" every day... (ignoring, that I prebooked as well a long time ago) Strangely enough, there wasn't a reservation for a big group , but individual tables with 2, 3 or 4 place settings. So they could have easily moved us to one of them. But they obviously didn't want to and the management defended it instead of compensating for the botched birthday evening. Thank you, never again. - This birthday evening will always be remembered...

Ne positiiviset tÀhÀn alkuun, ai ettÀ. NiitÀ sitten riittÀÀkin. Valitsimme sky menu 3:n, jossa oli selleriÀ, poroa ja hillaa. TÀmÀn kylkeen myös taivaalliset viinit, valkoista, punaista ja jÀlkkÀriksi lakkaviiniÀ. Itse ruoka oli tÀÀllÀ ehdoton number 1.
Alkupalaa ennen meille tarjoiltiin leipÀlautanen ja kokintervehdyksenÀ pieni blini, jossa oli siianmÀtiÀ. ErittÀin upea suupala, joka herÀtteli ruokahalua. Alkupalaksi saimme Sellerin kylkeen jotain ranskalaista hedelmÀistÀ ja kepeÀÀ viiniÀ, joka toimi todella hyvin alkupalan kanssa. Jopa sellerissÀ ollut jalapenoöljy toimi viinin kanssa ÀÀrimmÀisen hyvin. En varmaan koskaan ole nÀin hyvÀÀ mÀtsiÀ kohdannut.
PÀÀruokana ollut poro oli lihana tietenkin tÀys kymppi, mutta lisukkeena ollut sieni (tatti) oli aika kova. JÀlkkÀriÀ pyydettiin odottamaan tovin, jotta saatiin viinilasit tyhjÀksi ja jÀlkkÀri olikin yllÀtys. Ensin meille tarjoiltiin esijÀlkkÀri, jossa oli koskenkorvapuolukkaa, lunta ja kuusenkerkkÀÀ (varmasti kaikkea muutakin siinÀ oli) mutta tÀmÀ annos oli niin hyvin koottu, ettÀ parempi nimitys olisi sille suomalaisuuden perusydin lautasella. Aivan fantastista.
TĂ€mĂ€n jĂ€lkeen meille tarjoiltiin lakkaviini ja melkein jo unohdimme itse jĂ€lkkĂ€rin, kun eteemme tuli hilla tartaletti. Ihanan raikas pÀÀtös, tai niin luulimme. Laskun yhteydessĂ€ saimme vielĂ€ marmelaadia ja pienet kakkupalat. Rahaa meni kahdelta tĂ€hĂ€n tasan 190âŹ, mutta niin oli sen vÀÀrtti. 10+
Tarjoilija oli kroatialainen mies, joka yksityiskohtaisesti osasi kertoa viineistÀ ja annoksista oleelliset ja hoiti hommansa erittÀin hyvin.
Ainoat miinukset voisi antaa alkuun kovin tyhjÀstÀ ravintolasta, koska saimme pöydÀn vain klo 18.00, joka oli ravintolan avaamisen ajankohta. Tunnin jÀlkeen ravintola oli ehkÀ puolillaan. Aterimet oli kovin arkiset hotellin kuluneet aterimet. Ei mielestÀni sovi ravintolan arvoon lainkaan. LisÀksi sali oli hieman viileÀ.
Paikka oli tÀhÀn vuodenaikaan vaikuttava, varsinkin puut ulkona oli ihanan lumen peitossa.
Ehdoton suositus ja edelleen vertailtuna jouluna koettuun Helsingin KÀmppiin, tÀmÀ paikka saisi KÀmpin nolostumaan. Annan tÀlle 5/5 aivan...
