Kovat odotukset eivät jääneet palkitsematta. Heittämällä yksi parhaimpia ravintolakokemuksia ikinä. Ne positiiviset tähän alkuun, ai että. Niitä sitten riittääkin. Valitsimme sky menu 3:n, jossa oli selleriä, poroa ja hillaa. Tämän kylkeen myös taivaalliset viinit, valkoista, punaista ja jälkkäriksi lakkaviiniä. Itse ruoka oli täällä ehdoton number 1. Alkupalaa ennen meille tarjoiltiin leipälautanen ja kokintervehdyksenä pieni blini, jossa oli siianmätiä. Erittäin upea suupala, joka herätteli ruokahalua. Alkupalaksi saimme Sellerin kylkeen jotain ranskalaista hedelmäistä ja kepeää viiniä, joka toimi todella hyvin alkupalan kanssa. Jopa sellerissä ollut jalapenoöljy toimi viinin kanssa äärimmäisen hyvin. En varmaan koskaan ole näin hyvää mätsiä kohdannut. Pääruokana ollut poro oli lihana tietenkin täys kymppi, mutta lisukkeena ollut sieni (tatti) oli aika kova. Jälkkäriä pyydettiin odottamaan tovin, jotta saatiin viinilasit tyhjäksi ja jälkkäri olikin yllätys. Ensin meille tarjoiltiin esijälkkäri, jossa oli koskenkorvapuolukkaa, lunta ja kuusenkerkkää (varmasti kaikkea muutakin siinä oli) mutta tämä annos oli niin hyvin koottu, että parempi nimitys olisi sille suomalaisuuden perusydin lautasella. Aivan fantastista. Tämän jälkeen meille tarjoiltiin lakkaviini ja melkein jo unohdimme itse jälkkärin, kun eteemme tuli hilla tartaletti. Ihanan raikas päätös, tai niin luulimme. Laskun yhteydessä saimme vielä marmelaadia ja pienet kakkupalat. Rahaa meni kahdelta tähän tasan 190€, mutta niin oli sen väärtti. 10+ Tarjoilija oli kroatialainen mies, joka yksityiskohtaisesti osasi kertoa viineistä ja annoksista oleelliset ja hoiti hommansa erittäin hyvin. Ainoat miinukset voisi antaa alkuun kovin tyhjästä ravintolasta, koska saimme pöydän vain klo 18.00, joka oli ravintolan avaamisen ajankohta. Tunnin jälkeen ravintola oli ehkä puolillaan. Aterimet oli kovin arkiset hotellin kuluneet aterimet. Ei mielestäni sovi ravintolan arvoon lainkaan. Lisäksi sali oli hieman viileä. Paikka oli tähän vuodenaikaan vaikuttava, varsinkin puut ulkona oli ihanan lumen peitossa. Ehdoton suositus ja edelleen vertailtuna jouluna koettuun Helsingin Kämppiin, tämä paikka saisi Kämpin nolostumaan. Annan tälle 5/5 aivan oikeutetusti.

Fantastic Dining Experience – Thanks to Johanna and the Kitchen Team We had a great evening at Sky Kitchen, where we went with the five-course surprise menu on Johanna’s recommendation. And we’re really glad we did. Every dish was well thought out, both in terms of flavors and presentation, and the creativity in each course was impressive. A nice touch was that two of the chefs personally came out to present their dishes, giving us some insight into their ideas behind them. The whole experience felt very well put together, and the service was just as great as the food. Everything was so good that we decided to come back again today. Big thanks to Johanna and the kitchen team for making it such an enjoyable evening!

Nous sommes arrivées à 19:30 et nous avons rapidement été installées. Après, nous avons été délaissées dans un coin du restaurant sans que personne nous propose de commander. Au bout de 45 min d’attente, nous avons appelé la serveuse pour commander… À 20:20 hrs, arrivée de nos cocktails, qui sincèrement, ne goûtaient rien. Finalement vers 20:50 hrs , arrivée du pain et d’une petite soupe. Nous faisons remarquer que cela fait pratiquement plus d’une heure et demi que nous sommes arrivées et la serveuse s’en excuse signalant qu’elle va voir ce qu’elle peut faire. Un quart d’heure ensuite, arrivée des plats, qui ne valaient pas le détour niveau rapport qualité prix. La serveuse nous propose de nous offrir notre dessert, ce que nous acceptons au vu du temps d’attente. Nous commandons le 1er dessert de la carte. Celui-ci arrive rapidement et constatons qu’il s’agit d’une simple boule de glace vanille accompagnée de caramel… ce dessert est logiquement facturé à 10€… À la demande de l’addition, constatons qu’une réduction de -50% a été effectuée sur nos plats et les desserts ont été effectivement offert. Nous apprécions le geste commercial cependant nous ne recommandons pas ce restaurant et nous n’y retournerons pas. Le cadre et la vue n’en valent également pas plus la peine que ça.

Eh, not worth the drive out of town and more expensive than most other options.

We were initially recommended cocktails to start. I asked which they would recommend and were hyped on a Blackberry Sparkling drink. We both love blackberry so said that sounds great, we'll have that. In the next breath we were informed they were out of blackberries. Oof.

The wine selection was disappointing with our first two choices being out of stock, and then the next best option was a 90 euro Chablis that would normally retail for 20 euro. So that was disappointing.

We both had Arctic Char, one of which was wellllll charred. Not sure why they'd serve one, skin-side up, that was obviously burnt. The service was poor. The hotel pictures gave the dining hall a warmer and cozier impression than the big room of tables turned out to be.

We had a 295 euro prepaid dinner scheduled for New Years Eve that we couldn't cancel unfortunately. So we went forward with that the next day. We were shocked when we were pointed toward where to go for the Buffet. We've celebrated NYE in many nice hotel restaurants given the ease of celebrating and getting home. This was an absolute rip off though and the food was less than mediocre. A hoard of people going to a buffet vs an actual course meal certainly puts a damper on...

I can't recommend, very bad service. I reserved a quiet table by the window with a beautiful view for my birthday over a month in advance. We then got a table with a view of the house facade and next to a loud family of 5. When we asked to move to another table, the waitress rudely said that it would be difficult because all the tables were reserved. However, the 6(!) tables were empty until the end of our time slot. When we complained about this to the hotel manager and asked for compensation for the botched birthday evening, she replied that she had "big groups who are having (prebooked) dinner" every day... (ignoring, that I prebooked as well a long time ago) Strangely enough, there wasn't a reservation for a big group , but individual tables with 2, 3 or 4 place settings. So they could have easily moved us to one of them. But they obviously didn't want to and the management defended it instead of compensating for the botched birthday evening. Thank you, never again. - This birthday evening will always be remembered...
