Pizzeria Luca — Restaurant in Tampere sub-region

The service was good, very Friendly and helpful, they heated our kids baby food and made it look fancy, which was a very nice Touch. the food arrived quickly, the music was also okay. Sadly it was not very good, my wife and I both got the "white" pizza, she got the cinque formaggi which was the better of the two and I got the gambertti "shrimp" The dough was very bready, chewy and tasteless, all the photos show nice char but ours almost felt like it was undercooked. There was no sauce to save those pizza so no comments there The toppings which should be the star of a white pizza The cheese tasted okay, nothing fancy but the texture was rubbery and plastic-y to the point that you can separate it from the dough without any resistance The shrimp was honestly horrible, the cheapest, smallest kind ever. Which would still be okay if it wasn't clearly just thrown on the pizza without cooking it, it was cold and watery, and would squirt liquid Everytime i bite into a slice. The reason we went there was the claim it was on the top 50 pizzas in Europe or some bold claim like that. Not sure who awarded them the title, or if they have decided to stop trying once they got it or if they have fired the chef who got them those results. All I know is that I do not recommend going there for pizza, and because of how nice the staff were, I hated myself for saying that the food was good when they asked "how...

The food in the place was pretty okay. The waitress left us on a side table and did not come back to get our order for at least 15 minutes. After the order the service sped up more and drinks and starters were served quickly. The main course also followed soon later. Sadly the tables and bench weren't really clean. The paper menu on each table apparently doesn't get exchanged, only the table wiped with a dry cloth and the paper shaken of crumbs (seen the happen at the tables next to ours). Our table was located close to the kitchen, giving us a nice few on the preparations, which was interesting to see. Sadly, it was so cold there with some constant draft going by. We did not find an open window anywhere close, but it made the whole time we spend there waiting for service very uncomfortable.

The bathroom is okay, not super clean - there are some (blood?) stains at the wall.

After our food was done we waited a little over 30 min for someone to notice and come to bring the bill. Only happened after excessively waving to some...

Great pizza but service is too slow. We were only told after waiting for 30 minutes that they had a huge take-away order before us. The entire dining room looked annoyed because of the waiting time. Why accept such a big order if you’re going to leave all your customers in the dining room disappointed by their experience. We ended up waiting 45 minutes at lunch for two pizzas (there were very few tables waiting for food when we arrived). At least give your customers something to nibble on while waiting (crackers, bread, olives, nuts,...) The potato and guanciale pizza was great. Great dough, tasty ingredients. The Margherita was fine but too saucy. It was impossible to pick up by hand and messy. Giving your clients water should be automatic, shouldn’t have to ask after 30 minutes. Location is a little difficult to find since the restaurant is not at street level. Pretty dining room....
