Hook is one of the most popular places in Tampere specialising in chicken wings.

While you can find other meals, such as burgers and salads, the crown's jewels are the chicken wings. These ones are usually quite crispy and come served in a bath of hot sauce (following your spiciness selection).

Besides the chicken wings Hook serves really well San Miguel, a standard Spanish lager. It will arrive to you in a frozen cold glass. Often you will see small pieces of frozen beer coming alive as it arrives on the table.

Atmosphere wise, Hook offers a Peter pan feeling which might feel a bit odd, childish or purely outdated for most. It seems they are ready to make a very welcomed change into a more up-to-date visual.

Was told this is THE place for wings in Tampere, the capital of Wings of Finland, so it was sure thing to check it out.

Arrived on a Friday afternoon and it started on the left foot with a very inattentive hostess...15 min later, got a table. Service was super slow and sloppy.... Menu is basic and everything is considered an extra... Food arrived really slowly as well....

The wings arrived hot and spicy, but must say - ordinary as any other wings. Highly overrated.... especially when it comes with such sloppy service....

But the atmosphere was nice, the DJ was great and the sweet...

Food is very good, meat is ok, wings are ok. The Hall of fame contet isn't so hard ( 8 hot wings... ) and if you drink milk is a light walk... Service doesn't exist at all. 3 people, same order for all, drinks immediately, food after one hour and two complains...and 2 over 3 dishes were cold when served. But...if you are not in a hurry, prices are ok (not like some.other places on 22€ for a simple hamburger....) and the location is very nice...
