Ravintola Ukkometso — Restaurant in Tampere sub-region

Ruoka oli mainiota ja annokset olivat juuri sopivat, että jaksoin syödä 3 ruokalajia. Seurueen miehet tosin sanoivat, että enemmänkin olisi voinut olla.

En ole koskaan pitänyt sienistä, mutta suppilovahverokeitto maistui erinomaiselta. Pääruokana ollut lohi oli myös erinomaista ja jälkiruoan suklaakakku juuri sopivan makea ja mehukas hieman rapeahkon pinnan alla. Mitään moitittavaa ei ruoassa ollut.

Asiakaspalvelu oli kohteliasta, tosin jouduimme itse pyytämään mm. lisää vettä ja lopulta myös metsästämään laskua, mikä oli hieman ikävää.

Hinta oli minusta ruoan laatuun nähden sopiva, mutta toki on paikkoja, joissa samalla rahalla saa vatsansa enemmänkin täyteen - jos on ähkyä vailla.

Excellent, tasty food served in decently sized portions, so managing to eat 3 courses was easy enough. The men in our group would've wished for a bit more, but they too are pleased with the quality.

I've never been a fan of any kind of mushrooms but the soup here really converted me. The salmon main course was also excellent and the chocolate cake dessert was just sweet enough. All in all, nothing bad to say about the food.

Customer service was polite, but we had to ask for more water to the table ourselves and sort of hunt down our bill on the end, which was a bit unpleasant.

I think the price was suitable considering the quality of food, but if you really want to stuff yourself for the same price, there are other places better...

Nice place all in all, food was nothing special, but something that did hit the spot after a night out with the friends, i.e. it was greasy and salty enough (I had the Ukkometso pan). All in all my dish was a bit disappointment, especially as fries were swimming in the gravy. There were some interesting choices as well, like liver and kidney and burgers were looking interesting enough, need to try those...

Updated review. The food here is nowadays very good. Great burgers, snails, fries. There is an excellent outside terrace/beergarden across the street. Some nice taps, but mostly what you can get is finnish lagers. A dog-friendly place. And some fun can be had by looking at the passers-by in the park, as there are a lot of dog walkers going by! All-in-all, one of my go to places...
