La Cave des Ours — Restaurant in Aix-en-Provence

I had booked marked this spot after researching where to buy natural wines in Aix and it did not disappoint! Their selection has wines from France as well as other areas of Europe (I had my eye on a Pet-nat from Spain that looked delish). I learned the knowledgeable and friendly woman assisting us was the co-owner and we couldn’t have been happier. She explained the differences between regions, varietals, and how the terroir expressed itself amongst different plots of the same vintages. Fascinating and insightful. We found two comfy chairs to sit on outside and tasted two whites, and two reds. I suggest tasting half-glass portions so you can try more wines. We grabbed an almond croissant at the Patisserie across the street but the store also had canned sardines, charcuterie and cheeses which I greatly appreciated....

Lovely small Bar à vin in Aix-en-provence!! This unique Wine Bar is owned by a couple and sells only hand selected natural wines. We made a reservation for 9 people, and we had several awesome, unique and tasty natural wines with little food plates to share🥖🥗🧀🍷Just a fabulous place to enjoy food and wine together with friends!

After the visit, of course we had to get ourselves a few bottles to enjoy at home ;)
