We came here twice . First evening was fine with good food but with rather cold service. The second night was completely different. We haven’t eaten all day so we were looking forward to eat in the evening in the restaurant. As in many French restaurants the portions are small , but this was not a problem. For the main course we ordered the pigeon a very small portion and we noticed that we were not brought the bread. This is something that never happens here in France in generally the bread is a must. I have asked the waiter to bring us the bread and we waited and waited but the bread never came as the waiter preferred to chat with other customers. We ate we stood up we paid without saying anything but I have no intention to come back to this restaurant. I note that other customers have also complained about...

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch at this charming restaurant that is away from the touristy area, in fact of all the patrons we were the only non-French speaking.

Our server was nice and was helpful with the menu as it was in French. My wife opted for the full menu of the day which consisted of a appetizer that had a great tasting fish called mullet that we had never tried before, a very tender and flavorful beef with scalped potatoes, and a fig dessert. I had the shrimp and avocado starter which had a little too much citrus for my taste, followed by Iberian pork with vegetables and a grain that I think was faro all which were seasoned and cooked very well, and finished with an excellent assortment of cheeses.

The wine list had a wide selection and we went with a 2019 from the Chateauneaf du Pape...

If only the service matched the food. Maybe he was having a bad day? We noticed the table next to us received an amuse bouche. But us? Nothing. We were seated but no wine menu given. When we asked for the menu and asked about glass by the wine, the server curtly responded that the menu was only bottles. When asked about wine by the glass, he condescendingly said that it all depended on what we were eating. Not a hint of a smile or décent recommendation or description of the wines. When I asked who the producer was, he asked me to taste it first! This guy acted like this was the most terrible job ever. Fortunately, the bouillabaisse like fish dish and the pigeon en croute were deliciously prepared. Too bad the server was so salty and unfriendly. I would have had another glass of wine had...

Food is very good. Beautifully presented and all unique flavours. It felt like a good bridge between traditional and modern French style food. The menu is a little limited but we went as a large group and got the set menu with 4 courses. It included an amuse bouche, starter, fish course, meat course and dessert, all of which were fantastic and very good portion sizes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My only negative is that the restaurant is quite quiet, no obvious music playing and it is very hot inside in the evening.
