My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant on February 4th, and to say it was a disappointing experience would be an understatement. We left the restaurant with my girlfriend in tears, which really speaks to how bad the entire evening was.
We arrived around 20:00 and immediately noticed the restaurant was understaffed. By 20:15, we were finally able to place our order. We chose the Hummus and Salmon as starters, along with the Burger (without bacon) and the Beef Confit as main courses. We waited a full hour for our starters, which arrived at 21:15. When they came, we were surprised by the small portions and lack of quality—simple pre-made hummus with a few toppings and plain smoked salmon, which didn’t feel special at all. The hummus was lacking flavor and oil, and the salmon was extremely plain. To top it off, these two starters cost more than 50 euros.
We didn’t complain at this point and remained hopeful that the main courses would improve the experience. However, things only got worse. When the mains arrived 45 minutes later, my girlfriend noticed that the fries with her burger were overcooked, almost resembling sweet potato fries in color. They were clearly fried in old oil. The dish was taken away, and after another 15-minute wait, she finally received fresh fries. By this time, I had already finished my main course, which was also disappointing. My Beef Confit was dry and lacked flavor—I expected much better for a 41-euro dish.
When my girlfriend’s burger returned, the fries looked better, but the restaurant had replaced her burger with one containing bacon, despite us specifically requesting no bacon. Since the bacon was melted into the cheese, removing it wasn’t an option. They offered to make a new one, but at that point, after waiting over an hour for our main courses, we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes. Our patience had completely run out.
We decided to leave, having paid over 120 euros for two drinks, two unimpressive starters, one dry main course, and terrible service. What hurt the most was the lack of any compensation or empathy from the staff. Despite all the mistakes and the poor experience, they did nothing to make things right. We remained in good spirits until the main courses, but the service ruined the entire evening.
I don’t usually write negative reviews, as I understand the impact they can have on a business. As a business owner myself, I know how much effort goes into customer service. However, this experience was so bad that I feel compelled to warn others: if you want good service and quality food, do not...
Read moreThis restaurant’s entrance is hidden with steps leading down to a basement with a cosy bar and lounge area with the dining tables in a mezzanine area upstairs. The ambience is classy with dim lighting. The menu has a range of dishes to share and numerous entree and main dishes to choose from. They also cater for young children with a kids menu. The food is very gourmet with the salmon gravalax, cod fish in Thai curry sauce and beef confit stand out dishes. Unfortunately we were too full to try the desserts, so will need to return to try again. There is a good selection of mocktails, cocktails, beer and wines to choose from. The restaurant is well staffed with friendly and...
Read moreVery cool restaurant (a converted cinema I believe) serving some of the nicest cocktails in the 3 Valleys. The menu here is very good and is somewhat top of the range in terms of the quality of the dishes in comparison to restaurants in the area. Great for a special occasion, unsure how amenable it is for children (didn’t see any there at the time). The steak is top notch and the photos show the Houmous, the La Salade Caesar and the Ile Flottane dessert (no photo of steak unfortunately)....
