A fun experience with amazing food! First of all, the food was great! We had the fondue with mushrooms and the wild garlic one, and I highly recommend the garlic one if you’re into that. It was different and delicious, could really feel the flavour. The dessert was on par, with the creme brulee trio being really good, and the nutella tiramisu was amazing!! However, the bonus points here are from the serving and the extras: the theme is that you get a card trick at the end. That one was really cool! We tried to follow and expose it but it was done really well. On top of that, you get some nice puzzles to play with while waiting for your food (some steel mechanical ones, like getting a chain out of a steel bar or so). Would highly recommend :)!

Probably one of the best value for money restaurants in the area. Went there for dinner with some friends, we ordered various items including two cheese fondues, main dishes, and dessert, and everyone was very happy with their dish. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, as we were initially seated in an area with a very loud group on the table next to us, so the waitress offered to move us to a quieter table on the other side of the restaurant without us asking. They were generally so friendly throughout the dinner and they even surprised us with a quick magic show at the end of the night. Highly recommended restaurant with very good sized portions. However, I would recommend booking at least one day in advance.

Up the stairs and really impressive. Food is a solid 10/10 Service was an easy 10/10 It is not often you get the owner to come to your table and provide such a personal service. Very enjoyable experience. Burgers are fantastic, as well as the fondue was great. The creme brûlée was spectacular, they give 3 flavours. Star of the night was the champagne which was made by the owner himself and a lovely touch to the meal. Finished with some really fun close up Magic which ended with a souvenir for the night. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an easy going evening. PS the staff explain everything in both English and fresh (the owner himself speaks perfectly in both)

To celebrate the end of a wonderful holiday in Meribel, we decided to go for a meal at Le Close Up. It can be busy, especially on Wednesdays and Thursdays (chalet host's days off) so we booked in advance. When we arrived, we were greeted by a waiter. He was very friendly and explained the concept of the restaurant. Around the room were optical illusion paintings that were entertaining to study. There was a display of brain teaser games and toys that we were invited to play with. We ordered a half bottle of red wine to go with our food. My boyfriend ate duck which came with boiled potatoes and he said was very tasty. My sister and I both had hot stone beef, duck and pork (which had a minimum order of 2). The meat was tender and delicious and was served with red peppers, mushrooms, side salad and tender new potatoes. For dessert, my boyfriend had tiramisu which was more like a chocolate mouse as there was no coffee in it, but it was tasty. My sister enjoyed the rum and raisin ice cream. After finishing our meal, the restaurant manager came to our table and entertained us with some brilliant magic card tricks. It was a lovely meal with a great ambience that I would recommend, however it was rather pricey. Having said this, the cost was in keeping with other restaurants...
