The title says it all: I've never in my whole life, eaten so badly in a restaurant, and that's putting it mildly. Three mouthfuls of their disgusting ficelle picarde managed to give me food poisoning (nausea and vomiting all day)...I should have known, the smell was odd and the taste sickening, and I wondered if they hadn't smuugles in some andouillette from the previous days to thicken it. My 3-year-old son, for whom we had ordered a well-done steak, got sick too - the steak arrived almost blue, barely defrosted (cold!). The fries were pure cardboard, and the mayonnaise and ketchup, served in Amora and Heinz jars, were clearly not from the brand. The final bill for 3 (including a children's menu) was highway robbery : 80 euros for a ficelle picarde, 1 pizza, 1 child menu, 2 coffees and 3 glasses of piquette - more expensive than London, Paris or Berlin, and all for an inedible and probably toxic or infected meal. Only the service was friendly and yet now I see it was all an act. As for the rest, I've reported the matter to the hygiene inspection and fraud control, and tomorrow I'll be writing personally to the Amiens town hall to express my displeasure, since it's clear that comments on the internet aren't enough. Fool people once, ok, but don't complain about the...
Read moreI'm surprised this place has such a low rating on google maps. I can't speak to others' experiences at this restaurant but for me, everything was top notch during my dinner tonight. Between the food, the service, and the atmosphere, everything was great. My friend really enjoyed his chicken tenders (they looked perfectly golden brown and crispy) and my risotto was really good.
My only complaint is that my Moscow mule was made with Coke rather than ginger beer, which is really strange because that's what makes it a mule. But for me, the service more than made up for that error.
I guess one thing to note is that this restaurant doesn't really have any signature dishes. They offer pizza, burgers, pasta, wraps...basically food you can find almost anywhere. But for what it's worth, the dishes my friend and I ordered...
Read moreWe ordered pizzas. A plus, they have pepperoni pizza, but Pizza Hut is better than this place! I ordered the vegetarian pizza with "seasonal vegetables". The veggies were : green beans, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, potatoes, tomatoes, a few mushrooms and bell pepper. I am almost 100% positive the veggies were just one of those frozen mixes you buy at the grocery store! The crust was tough and became tougher as we were eating... Sign of frozen products as well. I would sadly, not recommend this place. The prices are way too high for quality. 16€ for each pizza and 6€ for a...
