Le Port Saint Leu in Amiens is a French restaurant that offers unique options like the filet de bar (seabass fillet), le Welsh (beef and cheese) and crepes. The food is generally well-prepared, but can be heavy and rich in sauce, which may not be to everyone's taste. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with dim lighting and white tablecloths, but the dim lighting can make it difficult to read the menu.
The service is generally friendly and the waiter takes a pleasure on casually explaining each dish. The restaurant also has strict opening hours, so it's important to plan your visit accordingly.
The dishes come on tablets with pots and baskets instead of normal plates. Overall there was a lot of sauce, cream and cheese.
Overall, Le Port Saint Leu is a decent French restaurant that offers classic dishes as well as a few unique options in a cozy atmosphere. While it's not the most outstanding dining experience, it can be a good choice for a casual meal with friends. Just be aware that the food...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. The service was absolutely terrible and the staff were unprofessional. We saw a very big Menu next to the door that clearly included access to coffee and ice cream. We sat down to enjoy what was included, and nobody informed us that the area was supposedly only for food orders. There were no signs or clear indications at all.

What’s even more upsetting is that he had seen us before we sat down but didn’t say anything, likely because he was just sitting around chatting instead of doing his job.
To us, it felt like discrimination, especially since we were with a veiled woman. It’s unacceptable. We didn’t feel welcome at all. I don’t...
Read moreI'm sitting here waiting for the wine to arrive that I order 10 minutes ago. I've been ignored by a wiater 5 times and 5 minutes ago I reordered the wine and I am still waiting.
I just got a mouthful of abuse for being a difficult customer. I presume that someone will spit in main course. After that review I just got threatened by the owner. Not very pleasant. I imagine he will be back in a minute with more good news for me. I felt very intimidated and physically threatened. The bill came ro 77€ which is 15-20€ tourist tax . Though I've lived in Amiens for 12 years. Having said that I've never been to this restaurant before, not sure why but maybe I do.St Leu is a great place to eat Some places are good value. Don't be put of St Leu based on...
