Jardin de Kashmir — Restaurant in Angoulême

I've given this place about 8 visits because I love Indian food and it's hard to find in France and can say finally that I won't be back. I've given them enough chances. The food is mediocre and quite bland overall even when I ordered spicy. Ordered the midi menu with raita ( not bad but a bit bland, regular nan ( it's good) and bharta ( bland and non complex and crunchy like sand was in it) . But the worst part always is the crap service. They give you one minute to decide and repeatedly return with a stern attitude ( please give folks at least 5 minutes to review the extensive menu) . A smile or any nicety would be welcomed. Then comes the rounds of hovering, server walking through every 30 seconds. It's weird and intrusive. Afterwards when you actually have been waiting for the next course and request its arrival they disappear. One of our party had her unused plate taken away at the beginning and when she asked for a plate they said no. She needed it for her sauces for the nan.This place needs complete retraining in customer service on all levels and this has happened every single time I've been there. Everyone I've brought to this place feels that way about the poor service. We are easy going people but the service there is one of the worst in the world. As i was traveling around the town of Angouleme me and my friends wanted to try Indian cuisine.

Indian cuisine has always been my go to fill my palates with rich flavors and etc

for this place i loved their overall service when they tried their best to explain the menu for people who didn't quite understand french language. The menu is fully written in french so don't expect anything foreign.

what surprised me was the naan bread , it comes with only one piece for 5€ (garlic naan) because in comparison to the places i visted before for that price i get 2-3 pieces.

We had been going to this restaurant for 15 years.Having not visit for the past 2 years.Decided to have a take away yesterday as we were in Angouleme.Because of Covid it was a take away. Got home later to enjoy the meal.We were in total shock. The rice was in a large container which was overflowing of the plate. The Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi was in a much smaller container which was half full and so dry I was choking with all the rice. The stuffed Paratha had hardly any filling.I used to recommend this restaurant.Not any more plus we will not be going there again.Very sad about this.So we will now have to find another Indian restaurant.Has anyone...
