SIAM GOURMET — Restaurant in Angoulême

We came across this restaurant whilst shopping in Angoulême. Great service, staff very friendly. Food was served within 20 minutes. We ordered two dishes a chicken and a beef red curry. Both were excellent. Well cooked. They were not too spicy hot so we were able to taste the other spices and flavours. Absolutely one of the worst experiences I have had in Angouleme. Small portions, expensive, bland. Terrible service, orders wrong or forgotten. Having worked and lived in Thailand and Asia, I know what Thai food should be like. This isn't it. €2.50 for a small bowl of white rice which is not included with the main curry. Over 7 euros for a tea cup sized serving of Tom Yung Kun soup which was underspiced and severely lacking flavour. The red curry was no better. Ignore this place...

Very friendly staff.. Perfect blend of Thai flavors with just the right amount of spice!! We ordered Red and green Thai curry with coconut milk accompanied with rice and sautéed noodles.. A warm bowl on a chilly evening.. We enjoyed it...
