La Maison du Bœuf — Restaurant in Arles

One of the worst meals i've ever had.. They apologized for making us wait so long. We had reservations for 8 PM and did not get our dinner until nine thirty.. the main course side dishes were dried out an old, like they were left over from lunch.That is not an exaggeration... My main course, which I decided to take the safe course and get a burger had nothing On it that was supposed to be there. It had none of the specialty local high end cheese on it, it had no bacon and instead had a massive dollop of what I assume was russian dressing or something similar That was so copious as to soak into the top of the bun and spill out all over the sides and soaked through to my fingers as I ate it and fall apart. My wife got the beef cheeks, what she said was good, but I detected an off flavor which I cannot identify.. After dinner I used the bathroom and I suggest that everyone check the bathroom out before they go because this one was extremely dirty and obviously smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I am sure the locals do not eat here and they survive on the unknowing tourist who walks in the door or reads their claims on their website as to their beef centric greatness. The server apologized that service was taking too long between courses. First course of the roasted marrow was fantastic. The "perfect egg" starter was €17 for a single poached egg. Burger had no cheese and no bacon as advertised, just russian dressing, fries were soggy and looked like the bottom of the frozen bag. We ordered the truffle Mac and cheese and it was dried out and overcooked . Beef cheeks were good but could have been warmer. We waited and waited for our bill (!!!!) Very nice food, and very nice place to be with the family, quite expensive but the quality of the food is very food.

Fish and chips, kids menu and meat for the lady everythomg was very nice and portions were accordingly

Toilets are very clean, they dont have a baby changing platform but the toilets are big enough to do it on the floor, they need more light though

Reason of the 3 stars in service is when asking something to a waiter they took lots of time and the restaurant wasnt...
