Le Galoubet — Restaurant in Arles

Whenever we come to Arles, we always enjoy dining at Le Galoubet — a reliable choice with an excellent quality/price ratio and refined yet simple dishes, always beautifully presented. That said, the service was very poor. The owner was kind and very helpful, but the blonde waitress was more than rude. I don’t expect a red carpet to be rolled out for me, but neither do I expect eye-rolling and visible annoyance just because we didn’t immediately understand a minor detail — due to our French, which is understandable though not perfect. The entire service was marked by this same attitude. It was almost a relief to realize that she behaved like this with everyone, regardless of nationality. Truly excellent food, unfortunately spoiled by...

So finally, my wife chose the Galoubet from the 25-plus other restaurants she viewed on the reviews for her birthday meal. We've been to Arles before and had some great meals prior to this trip, but we both agreed that this was without doubt the best meal and restaurant We've visited so far. For starters, we chose the smoked salmon and asparagus, and the ratatouille with boiled egg and dry cured ham. The starters were both superb, and this set the standard for our main plats, we both had the Onglet de boeuf sauce morilles...Wow! the sauce was amazing, and the boeuf was tender as it gets.. Madam paired the wine splendidly for a perfect meal.. Thanks to all the staff for their great service, we will no doubt return very soon!! Merci...

Delicious gourmet dinner! Le Galoubet is a French cuisine restaurant with high quality food. There are two menu options: 27€ for two dishes and 33€ per three dishes. The portion sizes are medium to small, therefore the three dishes option is the best for getting a proper meal. It is possible to choose among 4 or 5 different dishes for each course (starter, main and dessert) both of fish and meat. The food is delicious.
